Ex ‘RHOA’ Star Phaedra Parks Joining ‘Married To Medicine’ Cast As She Is Currently Dating A Doctor
Phaedra Parks is taking her talents to Married to Medicine!
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star isn’t done with reality TV just yet, as sources claim she plans to introduce her relationship with a doctor, All About The Tea reported.
Bravo reality series’ producers allegedly invited the RHOA alum to return, but she demanded an exorbitant sum of money that they weren’t willing to give. Instead, they asked her to join Married to Medicine, which has a budget that is comparable to what Phaedra Parks requested.
The transition was teased during a panel at BravoCon 22, which also featured Married to Medicine stars Dr. Jackie Walters, Dr. Simone Whitmore, Anila Sajja, and RHOA‘s Drew Sidora. In response to a question about her love life, Phaedra Parks said,
“I’m actually dating a doctor. I don’t want to tell you about him but I’ve actually dated him for about a year.”
Phaedra said, “They have, and they love him,” when one of the ladies inquired if her sons had met the enigmatically named doctor. The former RHOA cast member and her ex-husband, Apollo Nida, have two sons together: Dylan, 12, and Aydin, 9.
Sources claim Phaedra will appear in the 10th season of Married to Medicine, which will premiere in 2023, since filming for season 9 wrapped in Dec. 2022.
As previously reported, Phaedra starred in eight seasons of RHOA. Her departure appears to be related to a great deal of drama that occurred at the season nine reunion, when her years-long friendship with Kandi Burruss suffered the blowup of a lifetime.
It was during the reunion where it was revealed Phaedra supposedly started a rumor that Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, attempted to drug and rape her former co-star Porsha Williams.
Similar to RHOA, Married to Medicine follows socialite women in Atlanta as they juggle their careers, family and social calendars. The program differs in that every woman shown is either a doctor or a doctor’s wife.
The difference with this show is that all of the women featured are either doctors themselves or the wives of doctors.
