LOVE Island fans have been left raging after Shakira Khan was given a "villain edit" - with just days to go until the final.
ITV2 viewers insist the marketing engineer, 22, has been "set up" by producers as they took to social media with their latest show theory.
Throughout the series, Shakira has been at the centre of several conflicts in the villa.
This week, fans watched as Shakira and Toni Laites discussed their doubts over co-stars Meg and Dejon’s blossoming romance after the pair made their relationship official.
Dejon asked Meg to be his girlfriend, and she accepted, during a date away from the villa.
Upon their return to, the couple shared the news with the rest of the Islanders - but Shakira and Toni expressed scepticism about Dejon’s motives.
Just a day later, that same conversation appeared to be selected for one of the clips shown during The Grafties - Love Island’s annual villa awards ceremony.
Toni and Shakira’s remarks about Dejon and Meg were included as a nomination in one of the categories, a move that sparked a fresh wave of criticism from viewers who believe producers are targeting the duo.
Some claim the pair are being made to look like “mean girls,” despite what they see as Shakira’s unfair treatment in the villa.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one wrote: "Shakira… they gonna make you look like the bad person."
Another fumed: "all these boys are HORRIBLE. producers trying to push a villain edit of shakira. TERMINATE THE SEASON NEEOOWWWWWW."
Someone else asked: "Why are the producers setting up Shakira. SHE IS THE VICTIM NOT THE VILLAIN."
A fourth claimed: "the producers must be seething that shakira is still a fan favorite even after all this blatant sabotage and horrendous edit."
