Taylor Swift loves to keep her fans guessing with Easter eggs and hidden clues embedded in messages.
After winning the Grammy Award for best pop vocal album for "Midnights" in February, Swift stunned fans by announcing the release date of "The Tortured Poets Department." Swift revealed how she's been waiting two years to share news of the album while flashing a "No. 2" sign with her fingers.
While viewers assumed the 34-year-old made the gesture while speaking about how long she's been working on the album, Swifties were immediately suspicious. And when "TTPD" dropped in April, she surprised fans with a double album.
Therefore, Swifties did a double-take during the singer's Eras show in Toronto on Nov. 22. While performing in front of a sold-out crowd at the Rogers Centre, she dramatically flashed the No. 4 to the audience while singing "Midnight Rain."
Swift appeared to count down from five to four, seemingly referencing the number of Eras shows left on her schedule after Friday’s concert. However, some fans speculated the gesture also hinted at Kylie Kelce’s pregnancy announcement earlier that evening.
Earlier that night, Kylie, 32, who's married to Jason Kelce, 36, revealed they were expecting their fourth child, another girl.
Swift, who's famously dating Jason's younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has grown close with the retired Philadelphia Eagles star and his wife over the past year. Therefore, numerous fans believe the "No. 4" hand signal contained an Easter egg.
One woman posted on X, "Four Kelce sisters?" Another person shut down other guesses and wrote, "Nope, it's the 4th baby for Jason and Kylie." One fan stated on Threads, "I think it was For Jason and Kylie Kelce announcing their 4th baby today."
While Swifties debate over the gesture, the singer did "like" Kylie's announcement on Instagram, which appeared to be her first like on the social media app in months.
Kylie shared the news by posting a photo of her three daughters in pink "Big Sister" sweaters. She captioned the post, "I feel like we captured a very accurate representation of how each of the girls feel about getting another sister. At least Ellie, mom and dad are on the same page! 🤷♀️."
