RHOSLC Recap: Mary Hosts a Brunch; Angie Opens Up About Her Mother; Plus, Jared Slides Into Mary's DMs, Todd Shares His Disappointment with Bronwyn, and Meredith and Angie Have it Out

On this episode of The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City, Mary is hosting an Audrey Hepburn-inspired brunch for the group, despite the recent issues amongst the ladies. The Palm Springs trip might be over, but Todd is not letting Bronwyn off the hook for her behavior. Things between Bronwyn and Lisa may be better, but Heather is gunning for Bronwyn after being left out. Plus, things come to a head between Angie and Meredith.

Lisa is out shopping at Kemo Sabe with Heather (you may recognize this as one of Kyle Richards’ fav places to grab a custom cowboy hat). Much to Heather’s chagrin, Kemo Sabe is NOT a sushi spot, but it DOES have a secret bar where they hunker down over a margarita to chat.

Lisa states that they heard a different version from Bronwyn in Palm Springs about what went down with Heather, and how Bronwyn even said she wished Heather was on the trip. Lisa explains that Bronwyn was livid that she FaceTimed Heather. Lisa explains that this aggravated Bronwyn’s husband, Todd, so much that he went as far as saying if Lisa doesn’t fix things with Bronwyn, Lisa and John can leave.

Speaking of Todd, he is cold as ice chatting with Bronwyn. He is disappointed in Bronwyn’s behavior, and it’s giving father-daughter vibes. “In the 10 years we were together, I’ve never seen you act the way you have this weekend.” Todd believes that Bronwyn ruined a perfectly nice afternoon and states that her behavior was not “very becoming.”

Todd suggests that instead of Bronwyn stooping to the women’s level, she should leave the situation. He feels as though the group is sucking her into the “sewer of bullsh*t.” Bronwyn is confused about what to do with her emotions now that she has embarrassed Todd.

Despite having a good poolside chat with Bronwyn, Lisa feels like she remained a true friend to Heather as well. Lisa is hopeful that Bronwyn and Heather can figure it out, and if she cannot, Heather promises to teach Bronwyn, which sort of sounds like a threat.

Meanwhile, Angie has her father over for dinner, and they reminisce over her childhood. Angie explains that she has been trying to be the perfect mom since losing hers years ago. Angie tries to do for Elektra what her mother did not do for her. Angie admits that she feels empty when she reflects on her mom, and she cries about not wanting to disrespect her memory. Through tears, Angie explains that she does not want to be mad at her mom, but she can’t help but be angry at the way she self-medicated with alcohol when Angie needed her the most. Angie wants to find forgiveness when it comes to her mother.

Mary seems to have pulled out all the stops for her brunch. Mary explains that this event is helping her escape from the stressors that Robert Jr. is putting on her, so she is looking forward to seeing how this group styles Audrey Hepburn. Bronwyn is the first to arrive, followed by Meredith, and they are both donning clip-on bangs (Bronwyn successfully, whereas Meredith’s missed the mark). Bronwyn admits to Meredith that she got a “lecture” from Todd after Palm Springs.

While greeting the women, Heather breezes right past Bronwyn and blows her an air kiss once called out by Mary. Mary then leads the ladies to the table, and everyone is shocked to see Britani’s name at the table setting. Mary shares that she has invited Britani to prove she is not poor, a nod to what she called Mary in the first episode. Once Britani arrives, Mary makes a toast to friendship.  Heather is grateful that Mary included everyone and points out that did not happen for the Palm Desert trip. Talk about coming in hot.

Britani wonders how many people went on the trip and notices that Mary, Britani, and Heather were the ones left out. Britani is perplexed, considering she has opened her life to some in the group, like Angie. However, Angie failed when she attended Britani’s prayer night… with a bottle of wine. Angie points out that Britani is dating three guys and is drinking, so she should not be offended at Angie for bringing wine, an “insensitive move.” Britani is reaching now. Imagine if she ever finds out that Jared slides into Mary’s DMs? I cannot.

Britani claims that she feels excluded, but Lisa points out that maybe if Britani wasn’t rude about Bronwyn and Todd’s marriage, she may have gotten an invite. Bronwyn then rattles off a list of things Britani has said about her relationship — like Bronwyn being a gold digger who could not possibly be attracted to Todd. Naturally, Heather jumps in to ask (again) why Bronwyn and Todd do not have a prenup as if it is ANY of Heather’s business.

While trying to show that she does, in fact, know stuff about Todd, Heather states that Todd is an “a*shole on couples’ trips.” Bronwyn explains that she DID book Heather a first-class return ticket for the trip. Heather doesn’t believe that Bronwyn could possibly do that since no one in the group knows Heather’s true birthday for booking purposes. WHY does Heather LIE about her birthday? Remember when Heather lied about her black eye? It’s giving… pathological.

Lisa ponders why Bronwyn booked the rest of the group in coach, and she even drags Angie into it, claiming that Angie was ALSO upset about the flight situation. Bronwyn calmly reminds the group of everything she gave them during the Palm Springs trip, and Angie tries to backtrack to remain on Bronwyn’s good side.

Heather wonders why Bronwyn booked herself in first class while the others sat in coach, but Bronwyn claps back, stating, “Because it was my goddamn credit card.” Bronwyn points out that there is no way to get through a problem with Heather since Heather constantly changes what she is mad about. Heather claims to be “fiercely defensive” of her friendships, and she explains she is cautious of new people coming into the group. Being left out hurt her feelings, and after much ado, they promise to start over with a clean slate.

Britani stands up, wondering what about her, as she is sick of always being left out. Bronwyn mumbles that someone should get Britani a puppy since she seeks unconditional love. Britani apologizes (cuz everyone said she should) to Bronwyn, and Mary suggests that the group, as a whole, just listens to each other more.

Angie then continues the pile-on. She explains that she has some unresolved issues from Palm Springs with Meredith about the podcast thing. Meredith points out that this is about her child, and that if they go backward, it “won’t be pretty for anyone.” Another threat about huzzzbands, Meredith?

Meredith talks in circles, leaving EVERYONE confused, and we all see how Angie feels. Angie explains that she got a lot of support from the LGBTQ+ community after Meredith made claims about Shawn’s sexuality, and because she doesn’t know what else to do, Meredith whips out *the* podcast with Shawn. Whitney rips the phone out of Meredith’s hand, and Angie threatens to pull up all the “miserable” videos of Meredith.

Over the screaming, Mary yells that if Meredith isn’t going to listen, then she should get out of her house. Of course, Meredith only hears the “then get out of my house” and abruptly gathers herself to leave, claiming Mary hurt her while the ladies continue to gang up on her. Mary is aghast that it came to this, but she is grateful that Meredith “took them bangs with her.” These one-liners are something else…
