Super Bowl LIX proved to be a complicated time for Kylie Kelce and her husband, retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. While Kylie and Jason, who continue to raise their family in Philadelphia, wanted his younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, to be successful, they also wanted the Eagles to win.
"Ultimately, the plan is to go to the game and to cheer," Kylie said leading up to the Super Bowl in New Orleans on her podcast, "Not Gonna Lie."
"I’m not having fun. Like, I’m having fun independently. I’m having fun as an Eagles fan. I’m having fun as a Travis fan. This is hard. I don’t like it... But also it’s very exciting. But also, I’m mad about it."
While the couple hoped for a good game, watching the Eagles dismantle the Chiefs in a 40-22 blowout proved to be a difficult experience. At one point, Fox TV's cameras panned to Kylie, who's pregnant with her fourth child, downing a bag of Cheetos.
The photo immediately went viral as fans found the moment incredibly relatable. On the latest episode of her podcast, which featured Jason as a guest, Kylie explained the hygienic reason she ate her snack like that at the Superdome.
"I do love Cheetos, they're a delicious crunchy snack-- no notes. If you catch me eating any type of bagged item in public... I will be dumping it into my mouth from the bag. First of all, cut out the middleman. Second, I didn't have time to wash my hands. My germaphobia said dump it right in."
Fox sports analyst Erin Andrews, who reported from the sidelines during the Super Bowl commented on the video, "DEAD."
Kylie admitted that sometimes she crunches up a bag of Doritos so that they "slide of the bag and into my mouth in a nicer fashion," which still bewilders her husband since he believes the full chip is the best part.
"You have some weird eating habits. Between that and eating cereal (she puts the milk in first), I think you're very misguided in your eating habits." Kylie replies, "Yeah, but you married me so... suckaaaa!"
