Rumors Fly Andy Cohen Is Stepping Down
For quite some time, various rumors have flown that Andy Cohen was leaving Bravo. He was embroiled in Housewives scandals with both Leah McSweeney and Brandi Glanville. Leah alleged that Andy would do drugs with his favorite cast members as well as party with them. He demanded an apology from her after these accusations which he deemed false. Other Bravolebs stepped up in support of Andy and the kind of man he is. There was nothing but praise but then things got worse with Brandi. She claimed he had sexually harassed her.
A FaceTime video came out where he and Kate Chastain called Brandi to see if she wanted to watch intimate acts. She also claimed he used her to get the men he wanted. Her lawyers eventually dropped her as her suits lacked merit. Regardless, this made Andy look questionable but he noted he was not leaving. So, what would cause him to exit now especially as there are a lot of questions revolving around RHONJ and a reboot? It seems his nudes leaking and going viral may have created some shame in the father of two.
Allegedly, more rumors are swirling about Andy Cohen stepping down from Bravo but in what capacity? Does it mean he is done executive producing or completely done with the network? This is unclear but fans are not completely happy with the idea of him leaving. They feel that he defines Bravo and for him to exit would be too big of a blow to handle.
Do Not Leave
After fans learned that Andy Cohen may be leaving his post at Bravo, they were not happy. As aforementioned, they have no idea in what capacity he would exit. Comedian and network enthusiast, Heather McDonald also acknowledged the rumor on her Juicy Scoop podcast:
“I heard a rumor, not a lot of details to this rumor, that come April, there’s gonna be some announcement that Andy will be stepping down. I don’t know if that means immediately in April or like in the next year, there’ll be a transition and we’re just letting you people know. I don’t know if that means he’ll only do the reunion but not Watch What Happens Live.”
Some have questioned if he is thinking of moving to Los Angeles now that his NYC apartment is up for sale. Yet, he loves the Hamptons and the friends he has in New York so why would he leave? Fans chimed in with their thoughts on an exit:
- Andy is Bravo. I just can’t see it any other way.
- He’s selling his Apt. He’s probably relocating to LA so his kids can have a backyard or something like that.
- I don’t mind WWHL. And honestly, he’s gotten a little better about the reunions. We’ll see what happens with the BH reunion. If he doesn’t hold Kyle’s feet to the fire, he needs to find a replacement moderator.
