On Season 9, Episode 2 of Summer House, exes Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke came face-to-face to talk for the first time since the Season 8 reunion. The chat went better than some may have expected, but they didn't walk away with the same opinion.
When Carl first arrived at the house, he greeted the whole group outside by the pool, but did not say anything to Lindsay directly. Later, as Carl, Lindsay, and Kyle Cooke were alone in the kitchen, Kyle indicated to Carl that it was the right time to talk to his ex-fiancée. The Loverboy founder then left to give them space, but didn't go that far, since he was seen listening in from the next room.
"Hey Lindsay," Carl began hesitantly, to which she replied, "Hey Carl."
"How are you?" he asked. After Lindsay noted she was "good," Carl, who had already told producers how "nervous" he was about seeing her again, didn't waste any more time getting to the point.
"I just wanted to congratulate you," Carl said to Lindsay, who had announced her pregnancy the night prior.
Lindsay thanked him, and Carl added, "Sorry I didn't get a chance to say anything earlier [at the pool]. I just figured I'd wait a second."
"It's okay," Lindsay remarked as she continued tidying the kitchen. "It's a big group setting. I'm sure you were nervous."
Carl confirmed he was "a little nervous," but added, "I genuinely am just happy for you. Um, yeah, sorry I didnt get a chance to say anything earlier, so..."
"Yeah, well, I appreciate that," responded the influencer, who has been in a relationship with Turner Kufe since early 2024.
Then, referencing a conversation she and Carl had about their future during Season 8 (in which Lindsay predicted she could be pregnant by the next summer), Lindsay quipped, "In all fairness, I did say on the basketball courts last summer, 'Who knows where I'll be this summer?' And here we are."
"Here you are," Carl quietly corrected.
"But thank you," Lindsay repeated, "I appreciate that."
On her way out of the kitchen, Lindsay called Kyle out for not letting the conversation be that private. "Kyle you always gotta be eavesdropping while you're pretending to do speaker stuff," she chided the DJ lightly.
Carl Radke reflects on his talk with Lindsay after her pregnancy announcement
In a confessional following the conversation, Carl said he felt "so much better."
"I said what I wanted to say. It felt genuine. It seemed like she received it," he continued. "I'm guessing I was beet red and shaking...I'm feeling like, OK! That's behind me now, and now I can really for have my summer."
"The door is closed," he concluded.

The former PR maven had a slightly different take on their conversation.
"Carl is still, and will continue to be, terrified of me, so he's gonna be walking on eggshells around me all f--king summer," Lindsay said during her own interview.
She added, "For me, on the other hand, I just don't care if he's there or not. I've physically, literally, emotionally, mentally moved on."
Who is Lindsay Hubbard's boyfriend, Turner Kufe?
Turner Kufe is a biotech investor and medical school graduate based in NYC. Following Lindsay's breakup from Carl in 2023, Turner and Lindsay began dating early in 2024. The two welcomed daughter Gemma Britt Kufe in December 2024.
Though Turner is reportedly "very private" — the influencer has even stressed that he's not active on social media — fans have learned details about him from Lindsay's podcast appearances and the Summer House Season 9 premiere.
"He is, like, nerdy, but he's also so fun. And funny. And normal! He's a normie!" she gushed in an interview during the episode. "I found myself a f--king normie, and I love it."
Is Carl Radke dating anyone?
No, Carl is not currently dating anyone.
As the entrepreneur said in January 2025 and confirmed again in February, he is single and cautiously ready to mingle.
"I had some fun over the summer. I dated a little bit," he admitted on the February 5 episode of The Viall Files podcast, adding that fans will see some of that play out during Summer House Season 9.
However, Carl has "got a lot going on," ahead of opening his business, Soft Bar, which makes seriously dating a challenge.
"Let me tell you, these next three months, when the show's airing, dating is not easy, while you're watching yourself in the past summer flirting with other girls," he explained. "And I'm very single, I'm not doing anything that crazy."
