RHOC’s Emily Simpson Denies Getting Financial Help From Shane's Parents After Jennifer Pedranti Claims In-Laws "Fund [Her] Whole Life," Plus Jennifer Pokes Fun at Her ‘Tammy Wynette’ Diss

Emily Simpson took to her Instagram Story on Friday to deny the claims that Jennifer Pedranti made against her on Thursday night’s first installment of the three-part Real Housewives of Orange County reunion.

After Jennifer, 47, announced at the taping that she’d read that Emily’s in-laws “fund [her] whole life” and later mocked Emily’s “Tammy Wynette” comparison, Emily, 48, insisted that her husband Shane Simpson‘s parents “do not” support her financially, which seemed somewhat contradictory to the claims she made during a 2019 episode of Watch What Happens Live.

“If my in laws ‘funded our lifestyle’ I’d be living WAY larger than I am right now. I’d be on private jets with Heather Dubrow. They do not,” Emily stated in her November 8 post.

RHOC Emily Simpson Denies Jennifer Pedranti's Claims That In-Laws Funded Life

Emily shared her post in response to a Reel posted by Jennifer, in which Jennifer reacted to Emily’s reunion comments.

“You do this Tammy Wynett thing where you have to stand by your man and sometimes you just need to be accountable and say, ‘You know what, he made some bad choices,’” Emily had said, referencing Jennifer’s allegiance to her fiance Ryan Boyajian, 46, who has been accused of having ties to a $16 million gambling scandal, among other legal drama.

Along with her post, Jennifer included Tammy Wynette’s song, “Stand By Your Man,” as she poked fun at the diss.

“You know I like to have a little fun with it! And.. I’m ALWAYS down for an old country throwback!! I hope you all enjoyed Part 1 of the RHOC reunion. XO,” she wrote in the caption.

Although Emily claimed she was not funded by Shane’s parents, she seemed to suggest that they were behind at least some of their financial success when she appeared on WWHL in November 2019. At the time, Emily explained how her in-laws helped Shane after being asked about their potential financial backing.

“It’s no secret that Shane’s parents are very wealthy. And so he has lots of investments that they’ve set up for him,” she revealed. “I’ve never made that a secret.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 reunion continues with part two next Thursday, November 14, at 9/8c on Bravo.
