Tensions have simmered down since the Kansas City Chiefs' humbling 40-22 Super Bowl LIX defeat in February — at least enough for Chiefs star Travis Kelce to invite a member of the 2024 NFL champion Philadelphia Eagles on his podcast, "New Heights."
Wednesday's episode featured Eagles legend Brandon Graham, who was bold enough to publicly warn Kelce on his own podcast about how his relationship with Taylor Swift could significantly slow him down.
Though the couple is reportedly "on the same page," about the next step, Kelce's future with Swift is the subject of constant speculation. As the two enjoy a lowkey offseason together and approach their two year anniversary, questions about marriage and children have grown louder.
Graham stepped in when he felt the need to alert Kelce about the dangers of potentially taking the next step with the "Bad Blood" singer.

Having kids came up on the show while Travis and his brother Jason Kelce — whose wife, Kylie Kelce, just had their fourth daughter — asked Graham about authoring a children's book.
The Chiefs star joked that Graham's book might help his reading skills, but Graham got serious with his response.
"You know what, it’s gonna get better as you have kids, man," Graham said. "You’re gonna want to give them everything that you’ve got. I know for you, it’s gonna be cool."
Jason's former teammate looked at Travis and delivered the stern advice.
"But make sure you’re ready when you’re ready," he warned, "because it’s going to slow you down a little bit."
Graham, who has gotten a new perspective since his retirement from the NFL last month, emphasized that slowing down is not necessarily a bad thing, just a reality of becoming a parent.
The Chiefs will certainly hope that Kelce can avoid slowing down after signs of decline hit the 35-year-old last season. He produced his lowest regular season totals in receiving yards (823), yards per catch (8.3) and touchdowns (three) since his rookie year in 2013.
After a quiet four-catch, 39-yard performance in the Super Bowl loss, Kelce decided to return to the Chiefs for his 13th NFL season in 2025.
