Eagles Rumored For Major Coach Change After Super Bowl - suong

The Philadelphia Eagles know better than any other team in the league that the coaching carousel never truly ends until the conclusion of the Super Bowl.

In each of their last two Super Bowl appearances, the team has lost at least one coordinator to a head coaching job days after the conclusion of the big game.

It looks like it could happen once again.

In a report from Ian Rappaport of NFL Network, Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is expected to meet with the New Orleans Saints for their head coaching position...after Super Bowl LIX.

"The Saints plan to meet again with Eagles OC Kellen Moore after Super Bowl LIX, an indication he’s the top choice for new head coach, per The Insiders," Rapoport said. "This is the first time the two sides can speak… and Moore could just stick around since the game is in New Orleans."

Moore would be the third offensive coordinator to be hired by a team following the Eagles Super Bowl run. The organization lost both Frank Reich in 2017 and Shane Steichen in 2022 to head coach roles with the Indianapolis Colts.

Philadelphia also lost defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon as well following their Super Bowl loss two years ago.

Moore could be next in line and cause another shuffle in the Eagles coaching ranks. Since drafting Jalen Hurts as the team's quarterback in 2020, he could be on his fifth play-caller in six seasons.

That lack of stability can be a problem, but it hasn't deterred the team just yet.

Even with another change looming.
