Jalen Hurts' numbers with the Philadelphia Eagles aren't overly staggering for a franchise quarterback.
In five seasons with the Birds - four as a starting quarterback - Hurts has completed 64% of his passes while throwing for over 14,000 yards with 80 touchdown passes and 39 interceptions. He's never thrown for more than 4,000 yards in a season and has never thrown more than 25 touchdowns.
Yet despite the mediocre overall statistics, Hurts' rushing numbers place him in a category all to himself when compared to the other great quarterbacks from the 2020 draft class.
There's one other stat that puts Hurts above his contemporaries.
Wins.
Hurts' 43-19 is better than the likes of Joe Burrow (33-29-1), Justin Herbert (37-36), Tua Tagovailoa (36-22), and Jordan Love (15-12). The winning percentage is second only to Patrick Mahomes since 2021.
Even in 2024, with the Eagles' passing attack ranking just 25th in the league overall, Hurts isn't overly concerned about the perceptions that brings.
“I look forward to winning," Hurts said in a five-word mic drop.
The reality is that so long as Philadelphia's franchise quarterback continues to be strong in the run game, and makes the throws needed to win, he doesn't have to throw the ball 40 times a game.

In 2023, Hurts' numbers were solid apart from his increase in turnovers, but people wanted him out the door due to the reality that hit Philadelphia's collapse.
2024 has been a different story, though, and Hurts is going to relish the fact that he's the main leader on one of the best teams in football
