Eagles Coach Nick Sirianni Speaks Out with Warning on Jalen Hurts - suong

Before the 2024 season began, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts were at a crossroads together.

Sure they had reached the Super Bowl two years ago, but a stale offense, a late-season collapse in 2023, and an internally reported feud had people wondering if the two would be looking for ways to split.

That didn't happen, though, and the Eagles are clearly better for it.

Philadelphia caught fire after their Week 5 bye week - the success culminating in a 55-23 NFC Championship game blowout over the Washington Commanders for a spot in Super Bowl LIX.

The second Super Bowl appearance for both Sirianni and Hurts.

As he stepped up to the podium, Philadelphia's outspoken head coach knew exactly who to credit for the team's win.

"How about our quarterback?" Sirianni said, essentially speaking out with a warning. "How about our quarterback? He's a stud. I knew he was going to play that way. I knew it. Don't doubt him. All he does is win."

Hurts completed over 70% of his passes Sunday with over 240 passing yards, and four total touchdowns. He became the NFL's all-time playoff rushing touchdown leader at the quarterback position.

Now? A trip to New Orleans and the potential to thwart a Kansas City Chiefs three-peat.

Easier said than done, but Sirianni knows he has the quarterback to do it.

The question will be if Hurts and the Eagles can find a way to be the team that finally solves the Chiefs dynastic roster.
