The Philadelphia Eagles are making their final preparations for a battle against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX and could have a veteran leader back on the field.
Defensive end Brandon Graham suggested in recent days that he might be back for the Super Bowl after missing significant time with an injury. Graham said he was taking it "one day at a time" but didn't rule out a return from injured reserve.
"I ain't heard nothing, man. I'm just excited to be here, excited for this team, excited for this moment...I feel good," he added after missing the past two months with an injury. "This has been the easiest injury, I'd say, out of the injuries I've had. Upper body stuff is a little bit easier. .... It's just making sure I'm building muscle, I'm getting stronger and doing the right things to where I'm not re-hurting it. We'll see what the docs say, see what's going on, and go from there."
In anticipation of the game, the Eagles announced some major news regarding one of the team's veteran leaders. With the Super Bowl 10 days away, the Eagles announced they've opened the practice window for Graham.
"We have opened the practice windows for TE CJ Uzomah and DE Brandon Graham, signed RB Lew Nichols to the Practice Squad, and released TE Nick Muse from the Practice Squad," the team said.
Graham racked up 3.5 sacks in 11 games during the 2024 campaign and was the hero of Super Bowl LII when he stripped the ball from New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
Now it seems like he'll have a chance to suit up against the Kansas City Chiefs.
