There’s a new Mirrorball Champion in the ballroom. After months of hard work, Jenna Johnson and Joey Graziadei took home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy last night. Season 32 winners Val Chmerkovskiy and Xochitl Gomez gracefully passed the torch to the new reigning champs. And Val was clearly delighted to hand the crown over to his wife.
As the reigning DWTS champion, Val had the honor of passing the Mirrorball Trophy to the next winner. Of course, he hoped Jenna and Joey would win. But nothing prepared him for the moment the pair actually won.
“Champions!!! 🪩Speechless, proud, grateful…. Jenna & Joey!” Val posted on Instagram. Someone else managed to catch his reaction to the special moment, which he attached to the post. In the video, Val excitedly jumps up and down with unbridled joy for his wife.
“My love!!!!! 🥹😭 thank you for being my everything throughout this process. My confidence, my determination, my sanity stayed in tact all because of you. Forever grateful for YOU. What a special moment,” Jenna replied in the comments.
