DWTS Olympic Bronze Medalist Ilona Maher continues to be a fan favorite as she dances her way into the finals. Aside from her talent as a Rugby player, Ilona is quite the dancer. She’s gained a ton more fans and those fans are all petitioning for her to become the next Bachelorette. It’s a topic that keeps resurfacing and now after last night’s semifinal routine, she is dishing on whether or not ABC execs have talked to her at all about the possibility of becoming the leading lady looking for love. Dancing With the Stars Ilona Maher Shares If Execs Approached Her
The Bachelorette usually pulls its next leading lady from the previous season of The Bachelor. However, this time, fans are really pushing for ABC to consider Olympic Bronze Medalist Ilona Maher for the job. Perhaps some new blood is exactly what the franchise needs.
Rumors started with fans demanding her to be The Bachelorette and continue to go strong. It seems to be continuously brought up. Now, she is sharing whether or not ABC executives have approached her or not about the possibility of the dream becoming a reality.
Entertainment Tonight spoke with Ilona and pro dancer Alan Bersten about it all. They brought up the previous week when Ilona went viral for saying what type of man she would need cast for her. Some of her requirements were 5’10” and above, athletic and they must love food.
She was asked if since that went viral last week if anybody from The Bachelor has contacted her. Ilona revealed that she may have chatted with them. However, she was quick to point out that they were probably just there for Joey but did admit they were looking for her.
She Encouraged Everyone To Not Get Their Hopes Up
Ilona Maher went on to say that while she did chat with the execs everyone shouldn’t get their hopes up. She joked she didn’t know if her grandmother would want to see that. When asked if she wanted to see that she responded saying she would rather date 30 men but not be on camera.
Ilona also asked if there was a way to avoid getting engaged at the end. It was pointed out to her that she can make her own rules and does not have to get engaged if she does not want to.
Alan said he would be a producer and protect her from the bad guys. He continued on to say she deserves the very best.
