Drew Sidora insists she had a good reason for low-key crashing Porsha Williams' Nashville birthday trip amid their ongoing The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 drama.
Though Porsha accused newbie Angela Oakley of secretly setting up Drew for an ambush by asking her to come on the getaway uninvited, the latter two revealed on The Real Housewives of Atlanta After Show that was not the case.
"I can't say I feel like you set me up because I know you, and you were definitely trying to do the right thing because you wanted us to just all have fun as a group," Drew told Angela. "You were like, 'Please come. I'm new to this group. You brought me [into] this crazy group. Like, you need to be here.' … So, I wanted to be there for you, which is why I ultimately did come."
During the April 27 episode, Drew also expressed that she had seriously contemplated staying behind in ATL. "However, Porsha and I have been friends for years, and I am giving an olive branch — thank you, Angela — to try to talk to my friend," she explained in a confessional. "I mean, somebody's gotta make the effort. And I'm just looking, hopefully, to have some resolve and move past it."
Why Drew Sidora felt "unwelcomed" on the Nashville trip
They never achieved that moment of peace, though. Despite a cordial start upon Drew's Music City arrival, Porsha's patience had noticeably worn thin by the time dinner rolled around.
"I felt so unwelcomed. Like, the whole time I was just like, 'Why am I here?'" Drew shared on the RHOA After Show. "I didn't think that what Porsha and I even had going on was, like, that deep. But the energy I kept getting from her every time I saw her, I was like, 'Oh, you're that upset, and we can't talk about it?'"
Porsha assigning her the bunk bed room — which Angela dubbed "a bit of hazing" — didn't help matters either.
"Whose decision was that?" Drew wondered. "I was like, 'OK, I'm definitely not wanted here.' That was the beginning. That was, like, the start."
Even so, Porsha claimed separately on the After Show that she had accepted Angela inviting Drew and wanted her "just to be comfortable," rather than "make her feel a way," after she arrived.
What happened between Porsha Williams and Drew Sidora in Nashville?
Their situation reached a boiling point after Porsha received a pre-dinner phone call from a "friend," spilling the tea that her ex-fiancé Dennis McKinley had filmed scenes with Drew, unbeknownst to her — and against her wishes. Rather than come out with the info and risk a blow-up, though, Porsha kept the intel to herself, struggling to hide her visible frustration.
Nevertheless, Drew decided to "address the elephant in the room" that she "wasn’t invited" by Porsha, asking the birthday girl in front of the group if she was truly "good with" her being there.
"You straight," an aloof Porsha replied simply, eventually prompting Drew to storm off from the dinner table and depart the trip a bit early.
"She gave me an answer that's, like, nasty-nice, and at this point, I've extended olive branches, I showed up, and if that's the energy, then that's the energy," Drew vented to her RHOA castmates. "This is just immature. … I don't have to deal with this, actually, because I wasn't invited anyway."
