Connor Rogers believes the Buffalo Bills are in line for a major trade shake-up with the Cleveland Browns.
The Cleveland Browns remain steadfast in their demands that no matter which team calls, they will not be trading Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett. The All-Pro edge rusher requested a trade at the beginning of the offseason this year.
Plenty of contending teams are lining up for Garrett's services. One of those is the Buffalo Bills.
Buffalo is in need of an edge rusher after the Von Miller experiment failed drastically. Miller recorded just 14 sacks in three seasons with the team after signing for over $120 million in 2022.
Garrett's trade request is fascinating to say the least. It's also something that many people, including Connor Rogers, believe will happen eventually...once Cleveland realizes they don't have much leverage left.
"I don't know why the Browns would do it, they'd have to get a massive price," said Rogers on 'Chris Simms Unbuttoned.' "The Bills need to get over the hump and how can you improve your roster by the widest margin? It's a game wrecker on the defensive line."
Buffalo has been searching for defensive line help anyway they can to finally find a way to best Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. A trade for Garrett would mean the Bills finally have a player who can strike fear in any quarterback's heart.
The Browns superstar is the only player in the league right now to record over 10 sacks in each of the last five seasons. Those kind of players don't become available often which is why Buffalo made need to pounce early.
Or risk him falling into the wrong hands.
