Briana Culberson spoke out against rumors shared on Facebook about her marriage to Ryan Culberson in a stern post shared to her Instagram page.
As she slammed the false reports as “downright pathetic” and confirmed she’d sought legal counsel in hopes of ridding the internet of “blatant lies,” the 38-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum and daughter of series OG Vicki Gunvalson, 63, suspected that AI and overseas accounts were involved.
“It has come to my attention that there are stories circulating on social media and the internet about myself and my marriage,” Briana wrote on Instagram on July 22. “These stories are completely, blatantly false and downright pathetic. I have engaged legal counsel to stop the circulation of this made-up content and to have such content removed from all appropriate media.”
In recent weeks, stories have surfaced on Facebook about Briana’s marriage including one claiming she and Ryan were headed for a divorce.
“Our legal counsel has already contacted the legal departments at the relevant social media platforms, and have advised those individuals and companies who are disseminating this content, that such content is not only defamatory, but also in violation of California criminal law,” she continued. “Legal action against such individuals and companies is continuing.”
In the post’s caption, Briana continued, “Must’ve been a slow gossip week, to go after a super duper boring daughter of a housewife … who hasn’t been on TV for [nine] years. Let me go and set me freee!”
“Too much healing going on over here, turds … If you haven’t seen anything, perfect! Don’t go looking for the trash. If you see something, please report the posts and the profiles,” she added.
Briana also responded to comments shared on the post, including one from a follower who revealed they saw “an awful story” about her and Ryan on Facebook.
“You’re a strong woman who wouldn’t allow herself to be in that situation!” the person had written.
“I’m pretty sure it’s AI generated! And being pushed out by accounts overseas,” Briana replied.
Briana and Ryan got married in 2011 and have since welcomed four children, including sons Troy, Owen, and Hank, and daughter Cora.
