REAL Housewives of Beverly Hills star PK Kemsley has hired Britney Spears' former divorce lawyer to deal with his split from his estranged wife, Dorit, The U.S. Sun can confirm.
Dorit, 48, and PK, 57, announced their separation in May last year, nine years after getting married in March 2015.
Court filings show she asked for sole legal and physical custody of her two children with her ex, along with spousal support.
But new documents show PK has now lawyered up and is fighting back in court.
He has hired attorney Marci Levine, a partner with Summers Levine, LLP, who previously represented Spears during her divorce from ex, Kevin Federline.
Levine has been practicing law since 1990, including complex financial and custody matters.
According to the Associated Press, Levine worked on Spears' case with her then-colleague, Melvin Goldsman after powerhouse attorney Laura Wasser quit her case.
Spears and Federline finalized their divorce in 2007, a year after the singer filed, and reached an agreement over custody of their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
She will now have her work cut out for her with Dorit and PK's case as their tumultuous split plays out on the Bravo show.
In PK's legal response, he is seeking joint custody of their two children.
COMPANY SUSPENDED
He also waived his right to spousal support and has asked the court to terminate Dorit's own request.
Dorit admitted on the show she was bracing herself for a difficult divorce and filed a day after PK was photographed kissing former The Amazing Race contestant, Shana Wall.
RHOBH star claims Dorit Kemsley’s husband PK had ‘another woman’ in his car during DUI arrest as fans suspect they split
The former couple's finances have been a hot topic for viewers of the show after they paid $300,000 in back mortgage payments to save their house from going into foreclosure.
And they could still lose the property after Dorit's LLC was suspended, as revealed by The U.S. Sun earlier this month.
The pair own a $8 million home in Los Angeles, which was bought under Dorit's LLC, according to documents seen by The U.S. Sun.
Both Dorit and PK signed a promissory note promising to pay off their mortgage, which is legally binding.
LA-based attorney Ronald Richards, who has been involved in other RHOBH legal disputes, and often comments on others, was first to reveal Dorit's company being suspended.
Verified documents, which he shared on X, confirm the LLC is not in good standing with the Franchise Tax Board.
Richards exclusively told The U.S. Sun, "With the entity being suspended, it is most likely a loan default.
"For the FTB to suspend in the entity, they have not paid taxes or filed returns for a while.
"It is a bad symptom for the borrowers.
UNPAID TAXES
"A lender can default for non-monetary violations like non-payment of property taxes or if the entity is suspended.
"There are many covenants to a loan besides making the payments on time.
"I think if the lender finds out about this, they will order her to cure it, and if she doesn't, issue a new default."
Bravo did not respond to The U.S. Sun's call for comment on the matter.
It is not clear exactly how much the couple owes, but The U.S. Sun previously revealed the pair still have outstanding balances from as far back as 2017 for tens of thousands.
Dorit and PK need to make sure the LLC is in good standing by resolving any past tax issues, otherwise the home could go back into foreclosure.
They first bought the Encino property back in 2019 for $6,475,000.
They put it up for sale in 2020 and quickly dropped the price to $7,995,000 but it was later taken off the market.
Dorit previously broke her silence on her housing woes after not paying the mortgage for months.
During the Season 14 reunion of RHOBH, she told host Andy Cohen: "Well, there are reports that it is in pre-foreclosure.
"I had no idea about it. [PK] told me that they changed the rate, he was trying to get ahold of somebody, no one was returning his calls — that's the way he does business.
"Until they give him his call back, he's not going to pay. He resolved it. Listen, they ended up calling. That's what he said."
