Dorit Kemsley Declares PK Doesn't Actually Want a Divorce: "It's Very Complex"

Trying to figure out if her marriage is headed for divorce has been one big not-so-fun guessing game for Dorit Kemsley throughout The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, but she seems to have a better idea of where estranged husband Paul "PK" Kemsley stands now.

"I don't think PK wants to get divorced," Dorit told castmate Bozoma Saint John in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show video above.

Even so, she still remains unclear what his motives are with their separation — and that "angry, horrible" email" that certainly made it seem like divorce was imminent.

"I think he needs to understand what he’s doing before I can understand what he’s doing,” Dorit added. "It's very complex. ... I think it’s layered."

Though Dorit told Boz that PK is still in therapy, the lack of results she's seen has made her "feel less and less optimistic" about the future.

Is Dorit Kemsley planning to divorce PK?

So, does that mean she wants a divorce? Well, Dorit's answer is equally unclear.

"I'm not suggesting that I know what I want," Dorit added on the RHOBH After Show. "I'm not in a place where I can tell you I really want this or I really want that. I don't think I am. I don't know."

In Boz's opinion, Dorit does not want to divorce PK — and Dorit admitted that her fellow 'Wife is not exactly wrong either.

"You can say, 'I don't want divorce,' but [that] doesn’t mean you want marriage,” Boz explained to her. "You might want a different marriage. It may also be true that you don’t want to be married to him, to the him that is him right now. Or the him that was him. You might want to be married to the future him. But maybe you don't know who the future him is, and maybe that's what you’re waiting for."

Dorit's response: “1000 percent.”

What did PK say about divorcing Dorit?

After three months of separation, Dorit and PK finally reunited to discuss their relationship in RHOBH Season 14, Episode 15. During the sit-down, she noted that his retaining a lawyer made her feel as if he was “100 steps ahead” of her. So, she asked flat-out if “at any point” he wanted a divorce.

Citing Dorit’s "control issues" and her ability to "bring out the worst" in him as potential marriage-ending factors, PK replied, "I don't know whether divorce is in our future. I don't know. At the moment, you sit here and you think there’s no f–king chance, right? But who knows?"
Dorit Kemsley says PK is "calling the shots" amid separation
Unsatisfied with PK’s vague response, Dorit asked for "some clarity," prompting him to lay out their next steps.

"The reality is that we have to co-parent, and we have to keep it loving and kind,” PK said. "And we have to work on our relationship and make ourselves get back. You know you're my best f–king mate, right? Period. We need to find that friendship again. We lost it, right?"

He continued, "So what’s next for us is our journey to become friends again, right? For me, that's what's next. If we sit here in six months' time and we said, 'You know what, we managed to do this, Dorit, we've got the kids … we're best of friends and we're better not being married,' then we'll not be married, right?"

Dorit’s take? "I don’t feel in my heart that I want a divorce, but I’m not the one in control," she said in a confessional. "Truthfully, PK's calling the shots."
