Dorinda Medley Had No Idea Traitors Castmate Sam Asghari Is Britney Spears’ Ex-Husband: ‘What Does Your Wife Do?’-quang

The 'RHONY' alum confessed that once she learned of the former couple's divorce, she asked Asghari if he was "heartbroken" over the split

Dorinda Medley couldn't identify the traitors—or a few of her fellow faithfuls—on the latest season of The Traitors.

The Real Housewives of New York City alum recently spoke about her short stint on season 3 of Traitors. The Bravo star was eliminated during the series' second episode after the traitors "murdered" their first faithful. Medley, 60, appeared on the Wednesday, Jan. 15, episode of SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show and detailed her time with fellow game players at the Scottish Castle.

After asking about the castle’s environment and what it was like to be with fellow reality TV stars and public figures, Cunningham asked, “Was it just sort of these nods of acknowledging who people were?” Cunningham then used contestant Sam Asghari as an example. Asghari, also a faithful, is identified as Britney Spears’ ex-husband on the show.

The former couple married in June 2022, and separated the following year. Asghari, 30, finalized their divorce in early May 2024.

But, Medley told Cunningham she didn’t know who Asghari was. “I had no idea. By the way, this is a funny story. Swear to God, it's true. Cross my heart. I had no idea who Sam was,” the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip star said. 

“I was advising him about how it is to go through a divorce," she said, revealing she asked him: " ‘What does your wife do?’ " Then fellow Traitors contestant and Big Brother alum Britney Haynes "finally" told her, " ‘Dorinda, that is Britney Spears' ex.’ ”

“I had no idea. You know, I'm sort of one of these people that kind of, I'm very good at being in this world and very good at being not in this world and I think that's how I've kept my sanity all these years,” Medley explained. “I get very present in whatever I'm doing.”

Cunningham followed up by asking whether Asghari said, “ ‘Yeah, I signed my life away.’ " 

But Medley confirmed that he didn’t reveal much about their divorce, rather she tried to learn more about Asghari’s emotional wellbeing. “I was like, ‘Are you heartbroken?’ and I'm like, ‘Oh my God, you're young. You'll meet someone again. I'm sure she was great,’ and Britney [Haynes is] like, ‘What is wrong with you?’ "

“I was mothering him 'cause that's what I naturally do,” Medley confessed. “I love to mother. I love to cook for people, take care of them, work them through their problems. That's what comes very naturally to me.”
