Dorinda Medley criticized the new era of reality tv, specifically Kenya Moore displaying revenge p*rn of another cast member at her hair salon’s grand opening party.
The Real Housewives of New York Legacy cast member discussed her strong feelings about how the Real Housewives of Atlanta star handled herself with Page Six Radio.
BTW- Dorinda called Kenya ‘Kendra’ throughout the interview, but we changed it to ‘Kenya’ for clarity.
The revenge p*rn heard ’round the Bravosphere …
“It’s so multi-faceted,” began Dorinda. “When we first watch it, it’s just jarring. That’s not the reality TV I was involved in.”
RHONY (back in the day) “was a lot of good fun.” We would “insult each other, then have a good cry. You keep it moving.”
“I thought the scene was going to play out differently. You make the mistake, you do the apology tour the next day. Then, you bring a gift. Maybe you’ll get kicked out one more time, but then, eventually, you’re jumping in the pool together. I was expecting this formulaic thing because Brit’s new [to the cast].”
“When I saw it, regardless if Brittany [or Kenya] was wrong or right, I felt terrible.”
A Taste of Reality, courtesy of Dorinda:
“Kenya had this incredible moment and the build-up.” Additionally, “She took all her money and her daughter’s college fund and they had given her this moment. It was half of the episode …”
“Then, all of a sudden, it just got lost. All that’s remembered from this big moment professionally, financially, visually is going to be this.”
