Diplo ended 2024 on a high — literally.
The 46-year-old DJ shocked Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper when he revealed he was tripping on LSD during his virtual appearance on CNN’s New Year’s Eve special.
“I’m so curious, what’s the most conventional place that you’ve done LSD?” Cohen, 56, asked Diplo.

“Right now,” Diplo responded.
Cooper, 57, burst out laughing as Cohen was in disbelief over Diplo’s confession.
“Yeah, I did some on the helicopter, on the way here,” Diplo explained.
“Oh my God, hold on. Hold on. Please tell me. You’re tripping right now?” Cohen asked Diplo, who said he’s “not even lying.”
Diplo then stated, “It’s like a light trip.”

He added that he was “microdosing” but also could have “macrodosed” during the day.
After the interview, Cooper said on the broadcast, “I wish I was Diplo. I got to say. I just think he has a fun, cool lifestyle. Can you imagine his lifestyle? ‘I’m Diplo. I do things.’”
The journalist also told Cohen that he was “absolutely going to start” following Diplo on Instagram.

“I mean … I feel bad about my own boring life compared to Diplo’s,” Cooper said.
“He’s got helicopters and he’s like doing things. He did like four shots while we were talking. And he’s going to play. How does he work? How does anybody do anything? I’ve had four shots. I just want to go to sleep.”
Diplo performed three shows at the Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles on NYE.

The Grammy Award winner previously admitted to doing LSD in a May 2023 interview with Esquire.
“I do a lot of LSD, but I’m not tripping and looking at the stars going ‘Whaaa?’” he said. “I micro-dose it, maybe a little more.”
The music producer also revealed that he was on LSD when he ran the Los Angeles marathon.

“I was running really fast, but I wasn’t focusing on my body. I was having a conversation. My body started to break down by mile 17. It was the longest I had ever ran and I didn’t even notice it. I attribute that to the LSD,” he said.
“I wouldn’t recommend anyone else do it,” Diplo added. “I wanted to experiment. It made the time go by fast, and the worst thing about running is how boring it is. It’s boring as hell.”
