Bo Nix was one of the Denver Broncos' unsung heroes for most of the 2024-25 season.
It is clear to see he is certainly the future of the team. However, it may not be a bad thing to have Nix be backed up by a decent veteran quarterback, as opposed to Zach Wilson, who has shown he is not a starter and could barely be a backup.
In a recent prediction from Cody Benjamin of CBS Sports, he had the Broncos adding a veteran. He predicted Denver would land Jameis Winston. This comes after Winston started seven games for the Cleveland Browns in 2024.

Winston finished the 2024 campaign completing 181 of his 296 pass attempts for 2,121 yards. Winston also threw for 13 touchdowns while throwing 12 interceptions. He has also shown to be good on his feet, rushing for 83 yards and one touchdown.
Bringing Winston to the Broncos could reunite him with Coach Sean Payton, who he played with in 2020 and 2021. They spent time together with the New Orleans Saints.
A quarterback tandem of Nix and Winston sounds much better than a quarterback tandem of Nix and Wilson. Fortunately, a reunion between the two sides may not be too unrealistic.
