"If I could do a little laser or that salmon sperm thing or whatever, I’ll try it. I know it sounds weird," Richards tells PEOPLE

Denise Richards isn't afraid to take a page out of Jennifer Aniston's playbook.
For this week's PEOPLE cover story, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 54, spoke candidly about her beauty and skincare regimen, along with how she was inspired by Aniston, 56.
"For the exterior, I see a dermatologist doctor. He’s awesome, he’s very subtle, Dr. [Robert] Dorfman. I did do that salmon sperm facial. It was good. I had to after I heard Jennifer Aniston did," says Richards. "Who’s not going to do that?"
While the television star admitted that she did not know "what the heck it was," knowing it was something Aniston had done, was all she needed.

“I was like, 'If she did it, I'll do it.' But by the way, I am not one that does a bunch of stuff," explains Richards. "I want to look like myself, so I don’t do a bunch of fillers. I do a little Botox. I want to move my face because my eyebrows are very expressive, so I want to keep all that. But I try to do subtle."
"If I could do a little laser or that salmon sperm thing or whatever, I’ll try it. I know it sounds weird," she continues -- but she's open to keeping things fresh
Like Richards, Aniston previously admitted she wasn't aware of the procedure when an aesthetician first recommended it.

“First of all, I said, ‘Are you serious? How do you get salmon’s sperm?’ ” Aniston recalled in WSJ. Magazine Fall Women’s Fashion issue that dropped August 2023.
Dr. Gabriel Chiu, founder of Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery, told Variety that the process involves injecting Rejuran (a long-chain polynucleotide DNA of salmon milt) in microdroplets under the skin of the face and neck. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is another key ingredient.
According to Dr. Chiu, its benefits include "improved elasticity, reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, increased skin hydration and improved healing capabilities of the skin from damage like acne scars and UV exposure." It can also help shrink pores and promote the production of collagen.

Richards says that she was inspired to share her "wealth" of beauty secrets after hearing women like Aniston share their own beauty secrets.
"I think it’s a wonderful thing, women my age in this business who are being open, talking about changes in their body and talking about perimenopause and menopause and manopause too because there’s that," she says. "And I think it’s good because it seemed like not that long ago, it was so taboo."
Denise Richards and Her Wild Things premieres with two back-to-back half-hour episodes on Tuesday, March 4 on Bravo.
