Denise Richards, 53, gets painful-looking $2K salmon DNA treatment after Jennifer Aniston talked it upp

Denise Richards seems to go to great lengths to make sure she looks camera ready.

On Monday the former Bond girl was seen at Dr Dorfman's Done By Dorfman office in Beverly Hills getting a procedure done that did not look very comfortable.

The 53-year-old Bravo veteran was getting a salmon facial after Jennifer Aniston endorsed it earlier this month on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

She was seen in a video at Dr Dorfman's office as she was shot with a needle while holding onto a device pressed against her neck.

With no makeup on and a flushed face from an earlier laser treatment, Denise looked as if she was just breathing through the pain.

'This is very different than anything I have ever tried before but I am excited to try it,' said Richards. She also shared, 'Jennifer Aniston talked about it so anything she does I want to try.'

'I am hesitant when it came to fillers so that is why this is something I wanted to try because I felt it was something that is different and obviously there is a lot of benefits from it,' shared the mother of three in a video.

'I wanted to try this instead of doing a traditional filler.'

The cost of a full salmon DNA facial is about $2k at Dr Dorfman's office.

'Customized facial balancing with the stunning @deniserichards at Done by Dorfman, trying our signature salmon DNA treatment layered with a clear and brilliant laser and daxxify on her forehead and neck for beautiful, glowing skin,' it said on Dorfman's Instagram page.

One of the hashtags read 'clear and brilliant.'

Khloe Kardashian's ex has received the same treatment plus micro-needling.

Dr. Robert Dorfman is a hair transplant and aesthetic surgeon, with a special interest in hair restoration, aesthetic anti-aging and regenerative medicine.

The beauty expert was accepted to Northwestern University's Combined BS/MD Honors Program in Medical Education. He also completed a Masters Degree in the History of Medicine at the University of Oxford.

Dr. Dorfman then had internship and residency training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at UCLA, before launching his private practice in Beverly Hills, the Done by Dorfman clinic.

Dr. Dorfman now regularly sees patients in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York.

In early October Aniston addressed a number of rumored stories about herself during her appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

The Friends star, 55, set the record straight during a lighthearted true-or-false game with the host.

Among them was the story that she had a 'salmon sperm facial' before which turned out to be true.

After Jimmy inquired whether she had the salmon sperm facial, the star replied, 'I did.

'But let me explain to you. It's not like, how do you get sperm out of a salmon? It was sort of unclear.'

She then explained: 'I just took the woman's word that that's what it was. And I was like, "Sure."'

A confused Jimmy then stumbled over his words: 'Yeah, well, I mean - if it's not that - is that supposed... I mean, I don't know.'

Aniston clarified: 'I don't know, supposed to be little, tiny like the micro needling that they do.

'And then it was to push in the salmon sperm. Don't I have beautiful salmon skin?' she humorously asked.

Last year Aniston made it clear she had her doubts about the unique ingredients effectiveness of the facial, as she told The Wall Street Journal: 'First of all, I said, "Are you serious? How do you get salmon's sperm?"'

The Hollywood superstar admitted to the publication that she didn't feel like the facial did anything to help improve her skin's youthful glow.

Instead that star explained that she does swear by weekly peptide injections to combat the effects of aging and stated: 'I do think that’s the future'.

Salmon sperm has been hailed as the next must-have Korean beauty ingredient. It is currently offered at medical spas with the promise to increase cell turnover, produce more collagen, and improve pigmentation and inflammation.
