David Beador has filed for divorce and requested a restraining order against his estranged wife, Lesley Beador.
Months after Lesley, 41, filed for a restraining order against him, accusing him of verbal abuse, jealousy, and creating a hostile environment for their four-year-old daughter, Anna Love, the 60-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum was issued a temporary restraining order against Lesley after accusing her of abuse
In his June 17 request, which was obtained by Us Weekly, David asked the court to keep Lesley at least 100 yards away from him, his home, and his business, with the exception of custody exchanges, and he requested that she be ordered to take a batterer intervention program.
Additionally, David wants Lesley, whom he married in October 2020, to move out of his Newport Beach home.
“I own the home. My business is located in Orange County. Lesley is currently staying at our Montana residence for the summer,” he explained in his court documents. “Lesley and I have had many ups and downs in our marital relationship, with prior [divorce petitions] filed and dismissed and domestic violence restraining orders. I have always been concerned that Lesley’s relationship with me has been primarily based upon her desire to live a luxurious standard of living.”
“In our case [it’s] not just a cliché that Lesley married me for my money. In our case it is a fact, she has made that very clear to me literally,” he continued, alleging that Lesley uses Anna to “extract more money from” him and to “persuade me [to] dismiss my prior domestic violence actions.”
“Lesley has physically abused me on several occasions and only a small portion of those incidents have been detailed in previous domestic violence actions,” he went on. “Lesley is a pathological liar and she will state under penalty of perjury literally anything that will benefit her.”
According to David, he has endured “countless incidents of domestic violence and abuse” for the sake of being close to Anna.
On one particular date, ahead of a recently planned trip to New York, David said Lesley picked a fight with him over a kind comment one of his male friends had made about him.
“We started to argue back and forth, and she made several demeaning comments, and she was again attempting to provoke me as she has done on many occasions in the past. During our argument, Lesley physically attacked me, gouging large chunks of skin out of my arm,” David recalled, showcasing injuries via photos. “It should be further noted that during the altercation, Lesley actually shoved her fingers into my mouth attempting to silence me and later developed a self-serving narrative that I unilaterally bit her fingers! This makes no sense.”
David also said Lesley “forcefully slapped” him in his face at least four times before venturing to their Montana home rather than New York for their planned family trip, and she accused him of being gay.
“I am not gay,” David noted, suspecting that Lesley was retaliating after he canceled the purchase of a “very expensive necklace.”
Along with his restraining order request, David filed for divorce, asking for joint custody of Anna, requesting their prenup be enforced, and agreeing to pay Lesley $10,000 per month in support for two years.
David shares three daughters with his ex-wife, Shannon Beador, 61, whom he was married to from 2000 to 2017.
A hearing later this month will determine whether David’s restraining order against Lesley will be made permanent.
