Although Kyle Richards does not consider herself single amid her separation from Mauricio Umansky, she is not focusing on dating, either. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member has been focusing on her four daughters and her family, which includes her older sister, Kathy Hilton.
Recently, Kathy opened up about why Kyle hasn't been diving into dating just yet amid her split from Mauricio. "I think she's just taking her time," Kathy told People. "We just wrapped a month ago, and so she's spending a lot of time with her girls."
Kyle's daughters — Farrah Aldjufrie, Alexia Umansky, Sophia Umansky, and Portia Umansky — do mean so much to her. Although dating isn't necessarily a priority for her at the moment, as Kathy noted, her family is. After Alexia and Mauricio moved out of her family home this year, in an early October interview with Us Weekly, Kyle revealed how she's navigating the change, adding that having an emptier house is just a bit "sad" for her.
"I'm here alone with six dogs...it's like having six husbands," she said. "It's a lot of work! But they make me feel safe."
Does Kyle Richards want to date after Maurico Umansky split?
During a May 14 appearance on The Bitch Bible podcast, Kyle admitted that she has no interest in dating at the moment. "I think I need to take a beat," Kyle said.
"I mean, we're both allowed to do what we want, which is so strange," she continued. "But, if someone flirts with me at a red light, I will hit the gas and go through the red light. And you wouldn't think that if you know me, but I'm very uncomfortable...I'm not good with that."
She even admitted on the podcast that she doesn't like to go out or know how to flirt, which makes dating very hard. "I don't like to go to social things, so unless someone were to climb over my gate," she said. "So, yeah, I probably just need a minute, definitely."
Kyle Richards reveals what's next for her and Mauricio Umansky
Kyle admitted to Us Weekly that she doesn't know what the future holds for her or her estranged husband, either. "We love each other. So that part is easy," she said.
"What's not easy is figuring out what's next," she continued. "We're not divorced; he doesn't live here, but we're still figuring things out. On the show, people felt they were owed answers and thought I was withholding stuff — but I'm figuring it out myself."
