It’s been a week since the Philadelphia Eagles secured a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
Since then, the team has been celebrating, capping it off with a massive championship parade through the streets of Philadelphia on Friday.
Meanwhile, linebacker Jalyx Hunt was dealt a $5,690 fine by the NFL for "unsportsmanlike conduct" after performing a bow-and-arrow celebration following a sack on Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The NFL's decision made waves on social media, and one person who took notice was Jennifer Slay, wife of Eagles cornerback Darius Slay.
She summed up her thoughts on the fine with a simple one-word response.
"Soft," she wrote.
Since the fine was announced, Eagles fans have been adamant against the decision. Some have even said they will pay the $5,690 fine for Hunt because he shouldn't have to worry about that.
Hunt was a rookie this past season after being drafted in the third round of the 2024 NFL draft. The former Houston Christian Huskie played in 16 games in the regular season, totaling 21 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass defended.
In the Super Bowl, he had two tackles and 0.5 a sack.
