DANNY Jones’ wife is keen not to be seen as a “pushover” by forgiving him too quickly after his drunken kiss with Maura Higgins.
Insiders said Georgia Horsley, 38, does not want to give out the impression that the McFly star is off the hook yet.
The couple were spotted in public together last week for the first time since The Sun revealed Danny and Maura shared a 3am kiss at a Brit Awards after party on March 3.
They appeared to be having a tense conversation as they walked through a park in South West London.
Danny could be seen wearing his wedding ring, but his wife kept her left hand firmly in her pocket.
Georgia is said to have been left feeling “uneasy” about the photos.
A friend said: “This whole situation has been incredibly embarrassing for Danny and Georgia.
“They are keen to work through things together and move on.
“But Georgia does not want people to think she’s a pushover and that all is forgiven already.
“She was concerned that the photos of her and Danny together gave the impression that everything is fine, when that is very much not the case.”
I’m A Celeb winner Danny broke his silence with a grovelling apology to his wife on Friday.
In a post on Instagram, he wrote: “Hello everyone. Sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me.
“I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.”
Mum-of-one Georgia is said to be intentionally avoiding posting on social media or addressing the situation publicly.
A source said: “It’s not hard for the public to read between the lines here.
“Georgia hasn’t been posting on social media since the news broke and she hasn’t come forward with a statement.
“People can make of that what they will.”
Georgia’s only post on Instagram since Danny and Maura, 34, were snapped kissing at the Universal Music Bash is a photo of her son Cooper, six, with a blue heart emoji.
Friends rallied around the Miss England 2007 winner before she turned off the comments.
Former Made in Chelsea star Binky Felstead wrote: “We got you girl! Adore you.”
JLS singer Aston Merrygold’s wife Sarah Louise said: “Sending you all my love”.
Influencer Chessie King told the model, “we’re all rallied round you”, while author Anna Whitehouse added: “Love you darling. We’ve got you.”
Danny is set to return to work later this week with McFly's nationwide tour.
