Danny Jones' shock comments about state of his marriage to Georgia days before Maura kiss - suong

Danny Jones made a string of shock comments about the state of his marriage - just days before he was seen kissing Maura Higgins.

The McFly singer was seen kissing his I'm A Celebrity co-star - who recently split from Pete Wicks - at a BRIT Awards after party. Horrified fans have slated the singer over the kiss, as he is married to wife Georgia and the pair share son Cooper together.

In a recent podcast, which debuted just a few days ago, Danny joked about "leaving" his wife. Chatting with Rob Beckett and Josh Widdecombe on their Parenting Hell podcast, Danny revealed to them he had moved house whilst in the jungle.

Danny said of his house move: "Are you renovating? Same mate. It's a nightmare isn't it?" as Rob joked: "Is that why you went in the jungle to get money for the renovations?" Josh then chimed in to say: "To get away with it. Have my kitchen done - three weeks in the jungle." Rob then quipped that "you're honest when they go - why are you here? I've got a massive tax bill and she's left me. That's why I'm here. Give me the kangaroo d*** and let's get this done."

Danny then said: "Do you know what? I left my wife to move," before quipping: "I just left my wife," as all three of them laughed. Rob called it an "awkward exclusive" before Josh said: "What an exclusive." Danny then explained: "I left my wife to move house so I'm surprised she's still with me to be honest because she moved the house all by herself."

When Danny returned back home after his I'm A Celebrity win, he said it was clear Georgia felt "overwhelmed".

"When I got back, my wife was like I think I just need to go away to a hut myself for a few days. I said go and take yourself away and have a few days. You know what it was like, she was overwhelmed. It got too much for her, I could see it in her. I was like you just need to go away," he recalled - with Georgia later taking a trip away.

At the time, she had posted: "I was going into this New Year burnt out. Everything I didn’t want to feel entering 2025… I felt. Over a month of solo parenting, moving house on my own, working hard on my career whilst Danny was in the jungle with snakes in his pants was A LOT! So whilst I was still in Australia I decided I needed to do something for me… a solo trip, one to push me out of my comfort zone but also one to give me the break I craved. So… I booked a little cabin in the middle of nowhere, somewhere near Shropshire, and found a little nugget of calm in my overwhelmed brain. I chopped fire wood, built fires, sat in silence, read books, slept, took in the views, watched the sheep in the nearby field… and it was perfect."

Elsewhere in the chat, Danny spoke about what he's learned over the years from being a parent.

"I've definitely learned that time with my son is more important than anything. Being there for him and being present when he needs that emotional support. Like last night, I find myself slipping back into my [old] ways," he said.

"'It's bedtime, get to bed, clean your teeth mate. Dinner's on, I'm kind of trying to cook for mummy and I've got to be here'. It does get a lot but we're all the same and some nights I'm better than others - some nights, I'm nailing life and bedtime ... The best thing I've learned is that time is hard to find but when you do find it, it's really nice. Enjoying that time - not that I've ever not enjoyed it - but when I've been distracted and someone needs my attention or needs an answer, I think that's really important. He notices it."
