Crystal Kung Minkoff shared why she thinks Garcelle Beauvais quit Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and she hinted at the last time they spoke. The 42-year-old also suggested that Garcelle would sometimes defend Sutton Stracke when it “wasn’t warranted.”
At the recent reunion, Garcelle seemingly implied that Dorit’s husband, PK Kemsley, had something to do with the gunpoint home invasion that occurred at his home while he was out of the country. Sutton, however, had little to say about it, even while other stars called Garcelle out for making the insinuation. After the reunion, Garcelle announced that she quit.
On the Viall Files podcast, Crystal shared that Garcelle still follows her and revealed the last time they spoke.
“I talked to her the day of [her] announcement,” said Crystal, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “Right after I saw it … I messaged her and then she called me when we were in Morocco. We talked for a little bit … I didn’t ask her about [her quitting].”
“[But] from what I saw, she felt quite betrayed by Sutton,” said Crystal, who felt that Garcelle’s decision to quit was “very much about Sutton.”
One podcast host speculated that Garcelle left the show “because that was her last friend, and if her last friend doesn’t have her back, [then] why stay on the show?”
“That’s right,” said Crystal, who then addressed the reunions in general. “You can’t even describe walking into [a] reunion. The stress, the pressure, the fear, the anxiety that you have is so heightened, like, it’s really, really stressful because it’s just standing in front of a firing squad … and then everyone comes for you. Like, you need someone to help you.”
“Garcelle has rode for Sutton for so long … in almost like — I just want to be careful with my words … Sometimes it wasn’t warranted,” she said. Crystal believes that Garcelle walked into the reunion not “expecting to be the target.”
Crystal also suggested, however, that Garcelle accused PK of “fraud on television.” She hinted that Garcelle seemingly expected Sutton to back her up on it, knowing Sutton’s true opinion.
Crystal shared her thought that Sutton didn’t defend Garcelle because she “wants to be really close” with Kyle Richards, and she wants “Kyle’s approval.”
