Craig Conover was asked about a potential engagement to Paige DeSorbo on Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.
Before looking back at the moment he learned of Naomie Olindo‘s romance with Whitney Sudler-Smith, reacting to Shep Rose being on Raya amid his since-ended relationship with Taylor Ann Green, and revealing his thoughts on Austen Kroll and Olivia Flowers, the Southern Charm cast member responded to a fan who wanted to know how he felt about Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke‘s engagement and asked if Paige could be next.
“I’m happy for them. I’ve always loved love. You’ll see that I’ve not always thought that they were best for each other, but they’re engaged now, and I got to spend some time with them recently and celebrate that,” Craig shared on the September 13 episode of WWHL.
As for his plans to propose to Paige, he added, “I hope one day Paige is in that same position, but I don’t know if it will be next. I think our path is a little different than that, and I think that’s okay.”
Regarding the reveal of Naomie and Whitney’s relationship, Craig said, “I died.”
“I was like, ‘This is amazing,'” he recalled. “I found out because they had been going to coffee in the morning, and my business partners had seen them for like two weeks in a row. So like I knew something was up.”
Still, it wasn’t until he caught them together in a room that their fling was confirmed.
“That night I actually banged on the door to try to get Whitney to come drink with us because she had her own room, and Naomie said, ‘Craig, leave us alone.’ And I was like, ‘Ah!’” he revealed.
But because he’d dated Naomie in the past and had recently hooked up with her on a couple of occasions, Craig felt the romance was “weird.”
“I think it’s very weird to hook up with your friend’s girlfriend. Like if [Austen] was to hook up with Taylor right now, I think it would be weird,” he explained, noting that he “could’ve never predicted that.”
“It lasted a little while,” Craig continued of his co-stars’ relationship. “It was not [fabricated]. It was not. I mean, we were there.”
In addition to the reveal of Naomie’s relationship with Whitney, fans also learned on a recent episode of the show that Shep was on the dating app Raya amid his relationship with Taylor.
“Just classic Shep. When we found out I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, dude,'” Craig admitted. “I thought an easy fix would be to delete it but he stands by, ‘I won’t do anything that anyone tells me to do.’”
Another fan on WWHL wanted to know if Craig felt that Leva Bonaparte was making Venita Aspen choose sides between her and Madison LeCroy.
“Yeah. It doesn’t make sense to me,” Craig replied.
Then, when someone else wanted to know if he felt Austen and Olivia were a good match, Craig said that they are “…for certain things.”
“I think they’re a great match. They really like each other, but I think they have to figure out if they’re in the part of their lives where they want to settle down with one person,” he explained.
Also during the episode, Craig offered an update on the wine he spilled on Patrica Altschul‘s $45,000 couch and chairs.
“There was a company hired the next day that the stain came out, but I think the chairs were doomed,” he confessed.
