Craig Conover says he would've 'given up everything' for Paige DeSorbo but now sees their split as 'blessing' - suong

Craig Conover is gaining some perspective on his past romance with Paige DeSorbo, just three months after their surprising split.

The Southern Charm star, 36, reflected on his three-year relationship with the Summer House beauty, 32, during an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show on Monday, offering a candid look at his emotional journey.

‘I would’ve ended up losing myself [in that relationship] because I would’ve given up everything to stay with her,’ he admitted.

‘So the blessing is, as we’re a couple months out, I see that now. That’s why your mood changes throughout [a breakup], you have to go through those grieving processes … it’s perspective.’

His appearance on the talk show comes shortly after he exclusively told DailyMail.com that he’s ready to turn the page.

‘I think I'm always ready to find love. I'm a big fan of, like, sharing your life with someone and, right now, I'm just excited to find someone to travel with,’ he said on Valentine’s Day.

'A lot of my life is on the road, so yeah, we'll see. We'll see what happens.'

He continued, 'But I think life's not worth living if it's not shared... I like sharing my life with people, so whether it's love from friends or my parents, I've always got love to give, and of course, one day I will be ready to receive it.'

Craig told DailyMail.com that he's open to being in another long-distance relationship as long as there's 'effort and compromise.'

'I'm not going to lie. I really enjoyed long distance. And I think living in two different places was so exciting, and getting to share those places with each other,' he said.

'I just feel like I'm drawn to that, especially because there's a lot of really incredible people in Charleston, but I have a lot of history there too, a lot of past chapters. So I'm a fan of long distance relationships, and I think it just comes down to effort and compromise. And just put the effort in, and if you do, it'll all work out okay.'

He also said that he hopes there will be 'healthy communication' with his future partner since he doesn't want to 'feel stress or insecure about' communicating.

Last week, Conover played his cards close to the vest when explaining his side of the break-up.

The reality hunk was asked about DeSorbo's statement she had 'never cheated physically or emotionally' while on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday night.

Host Andy Cohen asked the Sewing Down South executive, who claimed he would have proposed before the split,  if he had 'cosigned his ex's statement about rumors of infidelity.

'I don't want to be involved,' Conover explained.

'I got broken up with. I'm the ex-boyfriend, moving on with my life,' he said, hinting that it was not a joint decision to call the three year relationship quits.

'I'm not going to get sucked into the mud with them,' he said referring to other Southern Charm cast members.
