Southern Charm star Craig Conover

Before Craig Conover became one half of a Bravo power couple with Paige DeSorbo, he had a flirty fling with another “Summer House” cast member—and it all went down years ago on a wild Hamptons weekend that never made it to air.

The “Southern Charm” star dished on his hookup with Jules Daoud, a season 4 “one-and-done” “Summer House” castmate. It turns out the waterslide and rosé-filled party were just the beginning.

Craig Conover’s Hookup That Even the Biggest Bravo Fans May Have Forgotten

Craig Conover, Austen Kroll, and Shep Rose dropped into the Hamptons for Kyle Cooke’s birthday bash during “Summer House” season 4—but not all of the drama made it into the episode.

While speaking with “The Daily Dish,” Conover opened up about the unaired moments, revealing that he hit it off with Daoud during the party. With tensions flaring between him and his “Southern Charm” co-stars, Conover decided to branch off and hang out with Daoud, Cooke, and DeSorbo instead. That decision sparked an unexpected connection.

“I was like, ‘Hey, let’s do waterslide races,’ and they were like, ‘We’re in,’” Conover recalled. “Kyle, Paige, myself, and Jules just stayed on the waterslide the whole time. And I think, as the day went on, Jules and I ended up kissing on top of the waterslide. But they didn’t air any of this stuff.”

As the night wore on, things only got more fun—and a little more flirty. “I give the toast at the end of the night before we all go out, and then Jules came back to wherever our house was,” Conover added.

While the fling didn’t turn into anything serious, the two stayed close after their steamy Hamptons weekend. “I spent the summer in New York, so Jules and I hung out for a couple of weeks,” Conover said. “We just had a great time, and we’re still close friends.”

The Rise and Fall of Craig and Paige’s Relationship

Not long after his casual spark with Daoud, Conover’s romantic focus shifted toward “Summer House” standout DeSorbo. The two met while filming in the Hamptons and developed a close friendship during season 1 of the spinoff “Winter House,” even though Conover was still dating Natalie Hegnauer at the time.

Their relationship officially kicked off after filming wrapped, with both continuing to date casually before committing more seriously—something Bravo fans watched unfold during “Summer House” season 6.

But by the end of 2024, their romance had run its course. DeSorbo announced their breakup on her “Giggly Squad” podcast in December, calling it “the right decision for both of us.”

The breakup seemed like it came out of nowhere at the time, but as “Summer House” airs new episodes, fans get a glimpse into their relationship’s cracks. During a recent episode, DeSorbo broke down while talking to her best friend Ciara Miller.

“I feel guilty that I’m not more happy,” she confessed. “I feel like Craig is going to freak out on me… I’m just so f*cking anxious.” Her raw vulnerability struck a chord with fans who watched her wrestle with putting herself first.

Meanwhile, Conover admitted he struggled with the end of their relationship. Speaking candidly in a clip shared with Bravo, he revealed, “There was definitely denial, then fixing it, then acceptance — but that’s the biggest thing, once you accept that it’s real you can move on.”

He added, “I know I’ll be okay, but it just sucks.”
