After Justin Fields' new contract (two-years, $40 million) with the New York Jets, the former first-round quarterback is celebrating in style with a trip to Dubai.
Along for the ride were NFL friends Bijan Robinson and Kyle Pitts from the Atlanta Falcons, Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers, and Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys.
A videoi going viral shows the group enjoying dinner right after the announcement of Fields' new deal.
Parsons, who is awaiting a new contract of his own, seems to be taking a break from the extension negotiations with the Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones.
Well documented on CowboysCountry.com, the Parsons contract talks have not featured much else to talk about ... except the chance for him to be traded or "leave".
Of course, social media is no stranger to that propaganda either.
Viral videos of the group in Dubai are the latest rumors about Parsons joining another team - many thinking he is being recruited to Atlanta or Green Bay.
The Cowboys, on the other hand, have been hard at work in free agency signing multiple players with their newfound cap space.
Parsons is not one of them ... yet.
However, this timing is interesting.
The new league year officially opens on March 12, allowing the cap ceiling to grow. If the Cowboys sign Parsons before that date his financial impact will not weigh as much on the team's cap this offseason - essentially creating cap space.
That is ... if a deal is done.
For all we know, maybe something is signed and Dallas is aware that Parsons has left the country on the eve of the 2025 league year.
That's awfully optimistic, but hardly believable.
Unless we hear something official, expect Parsons' deal to get done once he returns.
