Season 10 of Married to Medicine might be over, but the drama never ends with these ladies. Throughout the last season, the ladies made a point to ice Quad Webb out of the group. They made themselves very clear when they dismissed her from the group trip to Napa Valley.
During the Season 10 reunion, it seemed like Quad was able to make progress in repairing her relationships with some of her co-stars, including Toya Bush-Harris. Apparently, they’ve already taken a few steps back since filming it. In a recent interview, Toya accused Quad of “gaslighting” the M2M viewers.
Who’s gaslighting who?
Toya shared her latest qualms with Quad during an interview with TV producer and blogger, Carlos King. Also joined by Dr. Simone Whitmore, the trio discussed all of the drama swirling around Atlanta’s medical community. When Quad was brought up, they briefly touched on the gross moment from the reunion when Dr. Simone discussed Quad’s niece who passed away.
According to Simone, she and Quad left the reunion on good terms, despite the distasteful comment. However, Simone said their dynamic changed once the reunion aired, and M2M fans were outraged at Simone. Allegedly, Simone hasn’t heard from Quad since.
Toya and Simone said this behavior isn’t new. They suggested that some of their castmates try to cater to the audience, using what the fans say to influence how they move within the group. In Quad’s case, Toya said that she’s constantly looking for an opportunity to be the “victim.”
“I’m not mad at her. I just don’t like the gaslighting that she does. She constantly plays the role,” Toya explained.
“She waits for the audience to say things like, ‘But they don’t like you Quad. You should go on Real Housewives of Atlanta,'” Toya continued. “And it’s just like isn’t this the same thing that you did with Mariah [Huq]? It’s the exact same thing.”
Back to square one
During the interview, Toya reiterated that she wasn’t “mad” at Quad. Instead, it seems like she’s just exhausted by her. She even questioned the authenticity of Quad’s “apology tour” at the reunion.
Toya explained, “I think at that time, she was genuinely apologetic. But, she also knows, and everyone knows in this industry, that at the reunion, if you don’t do that it’s almost putting a nail in your coffin.”
Quad hasn’t publicly responded to Toya’s claims, but you know she’s well aware of what Toya said. We’re either going to see this play out on Season 11, or Carlos is going to have to sit down with Quad to get her side of the story.
