Comedian behind Tom Brady roast reveals she would apologize to Gisele

Comedian Nikki Glaser, who performed a memorable set at Tom Brady's roast last May, admitted that she thinks some of her jokes may have upset his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen - and would apologize to her, given the opportunity.

Last year, Netflix aired a special called The Roast of Tom Brady, which featured hilarious sets from various comedians and athletes as they tore into the legendary New England Patriots football player.

Hosted by comedian Kevin Hart, each comedian got their chance to poke fun at Brady, including Glaser, who went viral for her jokes.

During the special, Glaser made a lot of gags at Brady and ex-wife Gisele, who he divorced in 2022.

'Tom Brady, five-time Super Bowl MVP, most career wins, most career touchdowns, you have seven rings − well, eight now that Gisele gave hers back,' Glaser cracked during the special, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer.

She also joked about his 'diet program,' telling the audience, 'It is so strict. But if you follow it exactly as he does, you too can lose your family.'

After the roast premiered, Glaser's set went viral, but according to some reports, the pregnant model was less than pleased about the many jokes made during the night about their split.

And, in a new interview with People, Glaser admits that she has 'a feeling that Gisele wasn't that happy' with what she said during the special. 'I mentioned her in a joke, which I did question because she wasn't there, and it's like, "She's not asking for this" but then I remembered that she's the hottest person in the world, and I go, "She can probably handle it,"' the podcaster told the outlet about the former Victoria's Secret Angel.

'Which obviously is a joke, but at the same time, yeah, I heard that she maybe wasn't happy with some jokes. I don't know if it was mine in particular, but I think that was fair,' she continued.

However, Glaser shared that she believes comedy will always 'upset someone,' admitting that she probably would have been annoyed, too, if she were Gisele.

'If I ever met her, I would definitely apologize for hurting her feelings if she was indeed upset about it,' Glaser told People.

'But I don't mind it. If someone's offended, they're offended. I am never someone that's like, "It's a joke. Get over it." I will apologize for jokes I make, because I don't always get it right. And I try to punch up, not punch down and just say what everyone's thinking without really ruining anyone's life or reputation,' she shared.

Glaser also made a crack at former model Bridget Moynahan, who the Fox Sports host dated from 2004 to 2006.

They broke up in 2006, but in early 2007, she announced that she was pregnant and Brady was the father, something that Glaser referred to during the roast.

'You (Brady) really are ... I mean, you're the best to ever play for too long,' Glaser cracked at the time.

'I mean, you retired, then you came back, and then you retired again. I get it. It's hard to walk away from something that's not your pregnant girlfriend.'

The roast came nearly a year after Gisele started dating new boyfriend Joaquim Valente, a jiu-jitsu instructor.

The couple are currently expecting their first child together.

She announced the pregnancy in October.

Gisele shares two children with Brady - son Benjamin Rein, 14, and daughter Vivian Lake, 11.
