Kandi Burruss isn’t the only former Real Housewives of Atlanta star coming to Kenya Moore’s defense. Claudia Jordan has now also come out in support of her former castmate amid Kenya’s recent scandal and exit from the show.
Kenya was suspended from filming for Season 16 after allegedly decorating for her spa opening party with posters of newcomer, Brittany Eady, performing oral sex on an unknown man. It was later decided that Kenya would not be getting her peach back.
Claudia, who filmed alongside Kenya for Seasons 7 and 8 of RHOA, was recently asked her thoughts on the whole scandal. She was unequivocally in Kenya’s corner, and finds the whole situation “tragic.”
TMZ caught up with Claudia in Los Angeles on Saturday. Like Kandi before her, she also expressed disappointment with the outcome of Kenya’s poster-gate.
Claudia began, “I think it’s tragic … Is [the show] worth watching if she’s not going to be on it? I think she’s a big part of that success and I hope it’s only a temporary thing.”
When the news of Kenya’s alleged stunt broke, she maintained her innocence and asserted that she would never engage in revenge porn. According to Kenya, the truth would eventually come to light.
Claudia says that Kenya has “never been a liar.” Even when she’s being a shade assassin.
“Kenya will say something and people will accuse her of being messy, only to find out years later she was telling the truth,” Claudia explained.
It’s unclear if THE DOOR IS CLOSED to Kenya ever returning in the future. Claudia thinks that the fans will really miss Kenya on the show. However, Claudia wants her to do whatever makes her and her fat wallet happy.
Claudia concluded, “I just want what’s best for her and whatever makes her happy. But I know that she got a GOOD check because we used to have the same lawyer, honey. There was more zeroes on hers than there was on mine. She was getting paid!”
Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is expected to premiere in 2025.
