Ciara Reveals Drama 'Summer House' Season 9: She Set Boundaries With The West - lulu

“Summer House” star Ciara Miller is making it clear—when it comes to her ex, West Wilson, there are no lingering feelings, no rekindled romance, and certainly no friendship. After their season 8 relationship fizzled out in late 2023, Miller recently opened up about why she had to set firm boundaries with Wilson while filming season 9.

No Friendship, No Drama—Just Coexisting

During a Bravo Fan Fest interview in Miami, Miller, 28, shared that she and Wilson are not on friendly terms, and that dynamic remained unchanged throughout the summer.

“Currently, I don’t have a relationship with him, and it stayed pretty consistent throughout the summer,” she told Us Weekly. “I don’t feel like we’re in a position where we need to be friends. It’s just kind of coexisting.”

Their romance, which played out during season 8, initially seemed promising. The couple hit it off right away and continued dating beyond their time in the Hamptons. However, by the time the reunion aired in June, their relationship had come to an end—and not on the best terms.

West admitted that while they spent time together after filming wrapped, including visiting his family and attending a wedding, he struggled with how to navigate their relationship once “Summer House” premiered. He cited concerns about public perception and the attention from Bravo fans, a revelation that didn’t sit well with her.

Setting Boundaries in ‘Summer House’ Season 9

Heading into season 9, Miller prioritized her own well-being. She emphasized that establishing those boundaries was necessary for her to move forward, remain true to herself, and function in the “Summer House” environment.

“I don’t feel bad for making boundaries. I don’t feel bad for expressing the way that I feel. And honestly, I’m genuinely being myself and keeping it real. If you don’t like it, if they don’t like it, it’s whatever,” she told Decider.

“It’s what I have to do to protect myself but also move forward and just, like, function and be who I am. So, honestly, [I’m] just being unapologetically me this season and rolling with all the punches.”

Despite sharing the house with Wilson again, Miller has no plans to walk away from the show anytime soon. This summer will be her fifth in the house, and she feels “like it was yesterday” that she was brand new to the group.

“But I feel like now I’m kind of like, these people aren’t going anywhere. I can’t get rid of them, they can’t get rid of me.”

The ‘Summer House’ Star is Focusing on Herself and Her Future

As for her love life, Miller is keeping things private and isn’t rushing into anything new. She says she’s “not looking for anything,” and is instead focused on herself, her career, and her cat, Jasper.

“If someone catches my attention and is emotionally intelligent and available, maybe I’ll give them a shot,” she admitted.

The “Summer House” star also made it clear that any future relationships will be off-camera. After dating two people on TV, she says that it is better for her to be “more private in certain areas.”

“Summer House” season 9 premieres Wednesday, February 12, on Bravo.
