Ciara Miller Sets Boundaries for 'Summer House' Season 9 Post-West Wilson Split: 'It's About Self-Preservation' - lulu

Ciara Miller set her boundaries this summer — and she does not feel bad about it (nor should she!).

The Summer House star, who made her New York Fashion Week debut modeling Raising Cane’s upcoming retail collection in Times Square this morning, opened up to DECIDER about how filming this season of the Bravo reality show compared to her experience last season.

“I just feel so much more comfortable with myself and with the house and I don’t feel bad for making boundaries,” she said. “I don’t feel bad for expressing the way that I feel. And honestly, I’m genuinely being myself and keeping it real. If you don’t like it, if they don’t like it, it’s whatever.”

“It’s what I have to do to protect myself but also move forward and also just like function and be who I am,” Miller continued. “So, honestly, [I’m] just being unapologetically me this season and rolling with all the punches.”

The model made her reality television debut in Season 5 of Summer House, where she quickly became close pals with longtime stars Paige DeSorbo and Amanda Batula. In the show’s eighth season, which aired earlier this year, fans got to watch newcomer West Wilson sweep Miller off her feet — only to end their relationship for “show-related reasons” ahead of the reunion.

While needing to work with an ex might not be for the faint of heart, Miller — who spent this summer filming Season 9 with Wilson — told DECIDER that she’s not going anywhere.

“Honestly, I think that this summer — it’s like my fifth summer in the house which is insane,” she said. “I feel like it was just yesterday that I was brand new to this group. But I feel like now I’m kind of like these people aren’t going anywhere. I can’t get rid of them, they can’t get rid of me. I feel so much more comfortable in the house and I feel like I’ve grown up in this house.”

You can catch up on all things Summer House by streaming the first eight seasons on Peacock.
