Christina Hall Claims Ex Josh Hall Is Requesting ‘Outrageous’ $65,000 Monthly in Spousal Support as He Tries to Block Her From Selling Tennessee Home, Plus Christina Returns to Maiden Name and Josh’s Rep Speaks

Christina Hall Claims Ex Josh Hall Is Requesting ‘Outrageous’ $65,000 Monthly in Spousal Support as He Tries to Block Her From Selling Tennessee Home, Plus Christina Returns to Maiden NameHouse-flipping shows are enormous in the world of reality TV. Flip Or Flop was a big hit on the HGTV network for several seasons with Christina Hall and Tarek El Moussa at the helm. Now, things have changed, and they both went their separate ways. Christina eventually married Josh Hall. They’re now going through a divorce, and she and her lawyer are revealing that Josh wants to take her to the cleaners. Plus, she now plans to use her maiden name.

Regarding Christina and Josh, they started dating in 2021 after meeting at a real estate conference. They got engaged in September 2021 and secretly tied the knot a month later. Christina confirmed her marriage the following year. Sadly, they separated in July 2024.

According to US Weekly, Josh and his legal team sent Christina what’s called a “good faith settlement offer.” In it, he is said to be requesting $65,000 a month for spousal support. Of course, her attorney had a response to this massive request. He says it’s “hardly good faith,” especially considering their “short-term marriage.”

Christina’s attorney went on, “The court is familiar with offers labeled as ‘Good Faith’ settlement offers which are not in fact made in good faith. The claim by [Josh] that he sent a .. ‘Good [F]aith’ settlement offer is not a fair characterization in my opinion. Josh Hall is requesting $65,000 per month in spousal support from [Christina] on a 2 year, 9 month marriage, which is outrageous when he is self-supporting.”

Apparently, Josh recently bought a luxury car, which signals he does not need these large monthly payments from his now-estranged wife.

Her attorney wrote, “[Josh just paid over $70,000 to pay off the lease on [Christina’s separate property Bentley and so he has no need for spousal support from [her].”

Additionally, Josh and his legal team requested an immediate order for the judge to disallow Christina from selling her estate in Tennessee. This came at the same time as his spousal support request. Notably, he previously “provided Christina with a global settlement offer, which included terms related to the [Tennessee] residence.” Christina and her attorney rejected this offer.

According to the court filings, Christina says the Tennessee home was an investment property she allowed Josh to “access and use … when it was not otherwise being rented.” However, his team fired back and said this is not the case, as Christina has referred to it as their “second home.”

Regarding the $65,000, Josh says Christina’s statements are false, and he never requested it.

In other Christina news, PEOPLE is confirming that she plans to use her maiden name, which she also did after divorcing Tarek. Previously, she said using her maiden name was a way to honor her late grandmother. She said in 2021, “She loved me hard and always let me know I could achieve anything I wanted to. She spoke life into me when I was down and taught me what unconditional love is.”

She continued at the time, “I miss her every single day. Taking back the family’s last name and know my grandparents are smiling from above.”
