CELEBRITY Big Brother's Chris Hughes has revealed his family's stark reaction to his controversial cat litter tray stunt on the ITV series.
The Love Island alum, 32, has been at the centre of attention both in and out of the iconic spy house, courtesy of his blossoming connection with co-star JoJo Siwa, 21.
Yet the shock stunt - which happened mid-way through his Celebrity Big Brother experience - left fans horrified.
And it appears the ITV racing pundit's nearest and dearest felt the same.
Chris uploaded a grab of the chat on his family's WhatsApp group at the time the challenge aired.
One member wrote: "I didn't see last night's episode but know he p****d in a cat litter tray."
Chris' mum then put: "They both did," along with a rolling eye Emoji.
His parent was referring to his CBB best mate JoJo, who dressed as a cat with him.
In the scenes aired on CBB, Chris asked JoJo if she could block the door so that he could have a wee in the giant cat litter that was on the floor in the bathroom.
JoJo, who was dressed in a fluffy ginger cat suit, then got up out of her seat and moved towards the door.
Chris explained how he had "stage fright" because she was looking over at him.
"Close your eyes," she told him.
Moments later, Chris pulled down his black and white cat suit and was weeing in the litter.
Spurts of urine could then be seen hitting the surface of the cat litter.
After having a wee, Chris covered the pebbles of cat litter with clean stones.
Reacting to the clip that was shown on Late and Live, one person on X said: "Ehm, yeah, Chris just did a wee in the middle of the bathroom, in a giant litter box, dressed as a giant cat, in front of JoJo Siwa."
"What on eeeearth? To be fair though, this is the sort of Classic Big Brother content that we all come for," penned a second.
OPENING UP
It came after JoJo clarified her relationship status with Chris in a joint interview on Monday's This Morning.
She has now touched down in Los Angeles following her dramatic stint in the ITV spy house - immediately gushing over "best friend" Chris in the airport terminal.
JoJo's ex Kath Ebbs, 27, revealed they had been dumped by the Dance Moms alum during the wrap party for the ITV reality series.
Speaking about where Chris and JoJo go from here, regarding their "close" friendship, Chris said they have a "really strong bond" - calling it a "soulmate friendship".
Chris said: "Our friendship, it's hard to explain... it's just a really strong bond between two people, it's just a strong friendship.
"I think you can have a soulmate friendship, that's the thing.
"To me, it's that energy when it's not the standard friendship you have with your friends, but it's still a friendship, we are friends.
"It's nice, I found it strange because it was such a strong friendship.
"Having someone in there to go through an experience like that and have someone there everyday when you're emotional, when you're happy... that was beautiful, that was genuinely an amazing thing."
Ben then grilled the pair and asked if it was just "platonic" or if it could develop into something "romantic".
JoJo laughed and said: "He's a gorgeous boy, look, he's a great guy, it is platonic, we have a lot of fun together.
Life is life and I don't know any future of anything but I'm really grateful for the dynamic that we have and the bond that we have.
"Whatever life does, life will do."
