As soon as Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht began, fans could tell things weren't going to be, ahem, smooth sailing for chef Cloyce Martin and chief stewardess Daisy Kelliher. And this prediction is already proving to be correct.

During Episode 6, which aired Nov. 11., Cloyce and Daisy had yet another showdown after yet another dinner went wrong. This time, the meal was served family-style when it probably should've been plated — a topic Daisy chose to address privately the next day.

"Cloyce, can we have a chat?" said Daisy when walking into the galley. "Obviously, you know I'm not a chef, and I don't know, but I've been in the industry for quite a while. I think things are a little bit last-minute, and I think the dinners need to be a bit more. I genuinely think that's what the guests are expecting, and I don't want it to affect the tip."

Cloyce seemed surprised by the suggestion, asking Daisy, "'More' as in ... elaborate?"

"Just something that it's like, 'Wow, this is the most beautiful plate I've ever seen,'" Daisy responded. "And If you've worked on big boats like that then you should know. [ ... ] All I can do is give you my advice from my experience, whether you choose to take it or not."

While Cloyce argued that "some things are inherently rustic" and "everybody obviously does it a little different," Daisy stuck to her point.

"This isn't my first rodeo. I'm trying to help you. I do think you're struggling a little bit with time management. I'm trying to help you from my 11 years of yachting. But maybe with the two years of yachting you've been doing you know better?" she said.

Cloyce didn't seem to appreciate the suggestion, retorting, "It's definitely easy to say, 'blah blah blah,' but ... "

In a confessional, he shared more of his position on the matter.

"I have never in the history of my charter experience, [had someone] question my capabilities in the galley," he said. "I don't have anything to prove to you."

Daisy also shared her unfiltered thoughts in an episode interview.

"Cloyce is not getting it," she said. "I'm being relatively direct, but it's not working.

Why are Chef Cloyce Martin and Daisy Kelliher arguing?

This particular batch of drama all began when Cloyce declared the guests' special seafood bash would be served family style.

“On a boat like this, for an engagement dinner, it should 1000 percent be plated,” Daisy said in a confessional. “As another HOD, I can give Cloyce my opinion. But if Cloyce isn’t going to listen, that’s on him. I can lead a horse to water, but I can’t make him drink.”

As predicted, the guests weren’t happy.

“I hate to say this. I love the family style ... but ..." said the primary’s wife, Cecilia, at the end of the meal.

“You want it plated for dinner?” asked Daisy knowingly.

The next bit of tension came when dessert wasn’t ready 23 minutes after plates had been cleared.

“Why is he so slow?” asked Daisy in a confessional. “Instead of taking a full blown ass nap, you should’ve been prepping these desserts. You should be better organized. This is bullsh-t.”

28 minutes later, the dessert was served.

“I would count tonight as definitely not my best work,” said Cloyce in his own interview. “Not enough sleep, definitely too much to drink. I’m never doing that ever again, so.”

While talking to Glenn, Daisy chocked the situation up to both bad time management and a bit of laziness, and the pair decided they should have a talk.
