BOSSES at Strictly Come Dancing are fuming over Pete WIcks appearing on a rival show at the same time.
As well as strutting his stuff on the BBC dance competition each Saturday night, Pete is also currently starring in Channel 4's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
While Celeb SAS was filmed a year ago, insiders tell The Sun that the powers that be at the Beeb are not happy that Channel 4 decided to launch the series with Pete on the same week they kicked off their live shows.
The source reveals: 'Strictly like their line-up to be fresh , so they feel like Pete being on the Channel 4 show at the same time devalues him.
"They believe it makes their cast seem less special when one of the show's most talked about stars can also be seen on a rival network at the same time."
The insider adds that the frustration is more intense as some decision makers at Strictly weren't sure about signing Pete as he has already appeared on a string of reality shows before.
'Not their typical booking'
Beyond Towie, his forays into the genre include Celebs Go Dating, Celebrity Masterchef and Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls.
"They took a chance on Pete as he is not their typical booking and they were in shock when the airdate for SAS was announced to kick off the same week as their show went live," the source continues.
"They thought it would have already aired by now, as it was filmed last summer."
Obviously Pete has no control over when shows air, and bosses understand it's not his fault.
"It's one of those things and it's nobody is angry at Pete, it's just a disappointing situation."
Pete, however, seems to be firmly entrenched in the Strictly bubble - and fans are even convinced he has fallen for his pro partner Jowita Przystal.
Setting tongues wagging
The pair were snapped looking like they couldn't keep their hands off each other as they walked the heavily-inked hunk's dogs.
And Jowita's appearance on Pete's podcast, Staying Relevant, also set tongues wagging.
The pair appeared to chat to Pete's co-host, Sam Thompson. and fans were quick to comment on how the Towie star looked at the dance champ.
One commented: "He's in luvvv they so suit each other x."
Another wrote: "Are they a couple then."
A third penned: "Pete has a Strictly curse."
