In a surprise update posted to social media, Lamb said he is "still waiting on that phone call" from his representation, confirming that a new contract is done with Dallas. In the meantime, the All-Pro pass-catcher continues to "grind" and train on his own as he seeks "the best version" of himself.

Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott announced themselves as a deadly duo last season. Prescott led the NFL in touchdown passes, while Lamb led the league with 135 receptions while setting personal bests for receiving yards and touchdown receptions. However, the Cowboys were upended by the Green Bay Packers at home on wild card weekend, and both players have yet to sign new long-term deals in Dallas.
Despite Jones' insistence that the Cowboys are firmly in a Super Bowl window and feel extremely confident about keeping their roster together, the longtime owner's actions seem to indicate otherwise. And so the Lamb saga will rumble on, and it's anyone's guess as to whether a resolution will be found prior to the Cowboys' Week 1 matchup with the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 8.
