Carrie O'Neill Reveals What Captain Sandy Yawn Told Her About Joe Bradley in Unseen Moment

It should come as no surprise that Captain Sandy Yawn tends to know about almost everything that's going on aboard her boat. With that being said, she's often able to share some insight into the dynamics at play — like telling new stewardess Carrie O'Neill she senses a budding romance between her and Joe Bradley, perhaps?

In an episode of the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show that coincided with Season 9, Episode 15 of Below Deck Mediterranean, Carrie revealed that in an unseen moment, the captain made a comment about her relationship with Joe.

"I think at some point, Captain Sandy came up to me and was like, 'I hear there's a new romance' or something. I stood there, and Gael [Cameron] and Nathan [Gallagher] also stood there, and I was thinking to myself, 'Who?' And they were looking at me and I'm thinking, 'Oh, oh, these idiots think me and Joe ... ?' He likes to flirt."

Carrie also noted that some other yachties mentioned Joe to her. While working together, Elena "Ellie" Dubaich had let it slip that there'd been some pre-Carrie drama involving the deckhand (in case you missed it, a love triangle involving Ellie, Joe, and Bri Muller caused enormous tension early in the season).

"Honestly, my first impression of her telling me that was kind of like, 'Don't go there,'" Carrie shared. "She was going to tell me, 'Don't go there,' but I'm not sure if it was to protect me rather than a sort of, 'Don't step on my turf.'"

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Carrie and Joe started up a flirtationship soon after she joined the crew.

"I saw that coming from a mile away," said Bri during the After Show. "It was at the tip meeting, and I knew, I knew. I looked at Joe and I was like, 'Mmm. My guy."

Joe Bradley Opens Up About His Flirtation with Carrie O'Neill
According to Joe, the flirty energy started as soon as he and Carrie said hello to one another. "It was just like a little bond," he said. "You know, she's very different than Ellie and Bri. Very different. So I could relate to her on a comical level. And she likes the musical aspect ... so we can talk about a lot of the things [we have] in common. I can absolutely have a civil conversation with this woman."

Carrie also noted that she and Joe are "very similar personality-wise."

"I think everyone took that as flirting. Like, 'Oh, Joe and Carrie," she added.

And hey, sometimes flirting is just flirting! But is this, like Captain Sandy noted, something more? You'll have to tune into Below Deck Mediterranean, which airs Mondays on Bravo at 9/8c, to find out.
