Carrie O'Neill Reveals Unseen Details About “Messy” Cabin Drama: “No Respect"

As hard as it might be to keep your room clean, it's simply part of the job when you're working on a mega yacht. Captain Sandy Yawn can attest to the importance of a tidy cabin — and so can Carrie O'Neill after living in what she found to be an un-ship-shape room with Elena "Ellie" Dubaich.

During the Sept. 16 episode of the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show (you can watch the clip above), Carrie offered some insight into the chaos that was not caught on tape when Captain Sandy toured the cabins in an exclusive video from Below Deck Med Season 9. In the clip, Carrie's room was shown to be perfectly tidy — which apparently wasn't actually the case.

"I probably should've showered with my hazmat suit on," she joked of her and Ellie's cabin. "I was just like, 'whoa.' It was messy. The bathroom was disgusting. She had no respect. I got out of the shower one day and there's not one, not two, not three, but four towels. She'd used all four of them 'cause her makeup was on all four. And I was thinking to myself, 'I don't want to use any of these.'"

Carrie's solution? "I started keeping my towel in the wardrobe."

According to Bri Muller, her and Ellie's shared cabin was also "a mess" — but they "thrived" in said chaos. "I'm pretty sure my bed wasn't even made properly for like a week," she said on the After Show.

"Ever," Chef Johnathan Shillingford jokingly corrected her. "No, never made properly."

Below Deck Med Season 9's Cabin Drama, Explained
Besides Carrie's issues with her and Ellie's room, other crew members had some cabin-related drama throughout the season. Fans might recall the nights that Bri slept in Joe Bradley and Nathan Gallagher's room amid a fight with Ellie.

Reflecting on the sleepovers, Joe said in the above Below Deck Med After Show clip, "We did have a good laugh. We [were] laughing every single time, but it was disturbing our rest. And she was in our little safe pocket where we can chat sh-t about people."

Ellie, meanwhile, said it was "pretty horrible" of Bri to turn to Joe and Nathan behind her back.

"It's pretty diabolical," she added. "It's extreme. Like, maybe go sleep in a guest cabin or remove yourself somewhere else to get space. Fair enough. But don't go sleeping on the floor in somebody else's cabin, telling these people, 'Oh, I feel unsafe.'"

Another cabin-related issue? The messiness of Nathan and Joe's cabin. They received a "zero" for their cabin-check score, prompting Aesha Scott to ask "What is f-cking wrong with you?!"

Nathan didn't disagree. "The cabin [was] a f-cking mess," he concluded.
