Carl Radke has met Lindsay Hubbard’s five-month-old daughter, Gemma. The former couple had a messy breakup by any standard. But they really surprised Summer House fans by how cordial they were towards each other while filming Season 9.
Seeing Carl and Lindsay share a laugh and get along felt a little bit like closure. The former publicist also had the empathy to let their cast mates know that Carl would need emotional support on the anniversary of his brother’s death. Finally, it only seemed fitting that the final step to closure would be Carl meeting the child that Lindsay shares with her boyfriend, Turner Kufe.
Carl Radke found Lindsay Hubbard’s daughter Gemma “really sweet”
Lindsay manifested Paige DeSorbo’s prediction that she would be pregnant the summer after Carl broke up with her. She announced her pregnancy with Gemma on July 4, 2024, and gave birth in December 2024.
Questions remain as to whether and how Lindsay could still be part of Summer House as a mother. But bringing her child to the reunion taping didn’t seem at all an issue. It was during production on April 24, 2025, that Carl and the rest of the cast got to meet Gemma.
The Soft Bar founder told E! News that he had a quick moment with Gemma before sitting down for taping.
“So at the reunion, last week, I did glimpse [at Gemma],” Carl shared. “I didn’t formally hold her or anything, but it was really sweet to meet Gemma. It’s special. And I felt very lucky … just showing her to the group.”
He continued, “She’s an amazing mom. So, it’s really special to see her take that on, she already looks [like a mom] and she’s wearing it well.”
Carl reflected on his prior friendship with Lindsay
For the reality TV star, filming the season together was paramount to moving past any bad feelings from the break-up. Certainly, Lindsay had her say when she suspected that her ex-fiancé was communicating with another girl before their split.
“I feel like we needed to go through the summer to get more closure…I was anxious, I was nervous. I didn’t want to say the wrong thing,” Carl shared.
It’s an honest assesment of Carl and Lindsay’s current situation. They were friends first. And Carl is counting at least cordiality moving forward.
“And I just wanted to be respectful and honestly tell her I was happy for her because she deserved that,” he explained. “People forget we were friends for many years before that. It was a lot of history. And I’m not saying we’re going to be friends, again, but I just thought we could be cordial and we had some fun overall.”
