Despite his memories of a bumpy charter, Captain Kerry Titheradge says he would welcome Jill Zarin back on Below Deck.
“Oh, absolutely. I mean, it was a fantastic episode,” Kerry, 49, exclusively shared with Us Weekly at Ticket2Event’s 12th Annual Luxury Luncheon hosted by Jill Zarin, Brian Kelly and Sean Koski on Saturday, July 26. “And the crew definitely learned a few things.”
In April 2024, Below Deck viewers watched Jill, 61, embark on a two-day charter aboard the St. David boat.
During her trip, which was documented for two episodes on Bravo’s hit reality show, the former Real Housewives of New York City star vocalized some of her concerns to the crew, including the food being too cold and service taking a long time.
“I think what Jill was looking for was just something that we all should have been doing,” Kerry told Us at The Southampton Inn in New York. “I think the way she delivered it — it was abrasive to some people the way she delivered it, but she wasn’t wrong. She kept us all on our toes.”
Before the episode aired, Below Deck star Fraser Olender recalled his memories working for Jill.
“She’s sweet. She’s very lovely and very funny — but demanding,” he told Us in February 2024. “[But] all guests are demanding. They’re charter guests and they’ve got their preferences and sometimes they can be frustrating.”
Fraser — who was serving as the chief stew at the time – said he had nothing but praise for Jill after having her as a charter guest. And yes, he didn’t mind her asking to have a specific kind of ice.
“We had a wonderful time and we had that amazing beach picnic,” he recalled. “It was just a great trip. It was challenging — don’t get me wrong — but a great trip. It’s yachting [so] what do you expect?”
These days, Kerry and Fraser have their own unique group of guests to cater to on season 12 of Below Deck. In the Monday, July 28, episode, the crew will have to deal with a drunk guest.
If Kerry had his way, he would host one famous actor on one of his charters.
“Will Ferrell,” he told Us while attending Jill’s annual event that supports cancer research in honor of her late husband, Bobby Zarin. “Who wouldn’t want him on the board?”
Below Deck airs on Bravo Mondays at 8 p.m. ET. Stream old episodes anytime on Peacock.
